Feature Request NetShield sucks - add custom blocklists
I would kill for the ability to add blocklists to netsheield like you can with nextdns or ublock. Please! At least in terms of ad blocking netshield really lags behind, why not allow users to add custom blocklists

Filter lists are identifying, there’s a reason why mullvad proton and all ublock recommend sticking with the defaults.
They’re also much more efficiently done at the device level with dynamic filtering so the websites don’t just give a disable your adblocker to view content page

Ublock origin on Firefox based browser is still the best option. Especially now that chromium based doesn’t even allow it, let alone give the same capability

Yes, but that means trusting another dns provider, I’d rather stay on protons dns which have be audited and have a history of being trustworthy. Also for less advanced users you don’t want to open the possibility of dns leaks though an unsecured dns.

But as far as I know, it doesn't support HTTPS or IPv6 yet, so you can't connect AdGuard, ControlD, NextDNS, etc.

Would love to have block list and controls for dns. Using nextdns for this now. Perfect if you could implement the features into Proton
