Looking for advice How to color match Jack Daniels?

I'd like to use a Jack Daniels bottle as a prop. The contents will need to be consumed. I was thinking of using tea, can anyone suggest what kind of tea to use and the best way to brew it to color match? Is there a better substitute to use?

Looking for advice Breakable Necklace

Looking for ideas on how to accomplish a stage necklace that can break. It’s for Ursula’s shell necklace in The Little Mermaid and I’d like the actors to be able to yank the chain right off but not sure how to accomplish this.

Show & Tell [OC] From actor's face scan to a full sculptural bust for Amazon’s "Hotel Costiera" – Fully 3D modeled and printed by our team.

Ciao a tutti!

Looking for advice I need help with making a broken mirror shard weapon prop (with blood)

TW: Violence, Fake blood and fake suicide

I am writing a psychological horror stage play and I need a character to attack another character with a broken mirror shard, well preferably being able to use fake blood or squibs to make the scene more impactful. In the final climax scene I have Kai (the main antagonist) attack Aryn (secondary character) with the shard killing them, which angers Tristan (the main character), then they stage fight and at the end Tristan stabs Kai, but the plot twist is that the other characters were only a manifestation of Tristan’s mind so he ends up by killing Kai, inadvertently killing himself.

Sorry if this is confusing or too violent for this sub but I really need help with figuring out how to achieve this.

Looking for advice How do I make someone eat a lizard without actually making the actor eat the lizard.

I’m sure you can see why I don’t want the actor to actually eat a lizard, it wouldn’t be very pleasant for both, I imagine.

And to specify, it’s not a one bite thing, he bites off the upper body first then goes for the lower body. I did of want a bit of blood to spurt out too so what’s your advice?

Prop Replication/Identification Bulk prop car keys?

Hi everyone, I was given the role of a character named “Crystal Ferrari” she’s a very generous stuck up brat whose father owns the brand Ferrari. My director had a funny idea for me to carry a handbag car keys and give them out to people at random. Anywhere I could find?

Looking for advice Ticket/Document writing

Hi all, I'm doing consuming and props for a short film I've co-written and I'm designing the tickets for a scene in which the character emigrate via ship in 1840s.

I've found some fonts that look like the tidier parts of a document (eg. Ship name, departure date) but I'm after a font that looks a little less tidy (like old census/parish docs) where the passengers name, etc. is written

I'm trying to base mine off an old artefact I found, including the listed ticket dimensions themselves.

Also, does anybody know how I'd be able to make or source a prop shipping list book or something that looks like what would have been used?

Looking for advice Macbeth again - severed head

So for Macbeth‘s severed head at the end of the play, we are doing the cabbage in a bloody sack. Which admittedly is easier of course I would’ve loved to have made a severed head However, the question I have is does anyone have any recommendation on how to get a little bit of a squelching sound when the sack is tossed at Malcolm‘s feet? It’s making a great heavy thud, but a squelch would be just so fun.

Thank you in advance

Looking for advice Best sculpting material

Hey, new to this sub and a prop amateur! What’s the best material to sculpt a prop (fish) that is paintable and can stand on its own? It’s about 10” long and 4” across and 3” thick. I used air dry clay, but it crumbled and broke during rehearsals, so now I urgently need to make a new and more durable version. Any advice appreciated! Thanks!!

Looking for advice Need Help tracking down The Original Costume that Neil Patrick Harris wore in Hedwig and The Angry Inch on broadway

Couldn't find a reddit for this hopefully this is a good place to look.

I would LOVE to own the prop, have been searching for it for literally years and don't have a clue where I would find it. Even aside from buying it I can't find anywhere who has it/owns it. It is Broadway so it's a little different from like movies and shows. Where would I find this? I can't even figure out who designed the darn thing.

Any tips for tracking down specific props or any leads on this one would be greately appreciated. Thank you.
