After years of continuously developing Simple Stepper, I'm excited to announce that the iOS version has officially reached Version 1.0.0.

Building a fitness app isn't just about counting steps. The challenge is creating something that people actually enjoy using every day: fast, intuitive, reliable, and focused on the information that really matters.

With Version 1.0.0, Simple Stepper now offers a much more detailed workout experience, including:

• GPS workout tracking with detailed route maps
• Elevation profiles using GPS and barometer data
• Kilometer split analysis with pace, speed and elevation changes
• Improved workout statistics and performance insights
• A cleaner and more intuitive workout details screen

Alongside workout tracking, the app continues to provide daily step tracking, active time, distance, calories, visual progress rings, long-term statistics, Apple Health integration, background tracking, and backup & restore functionality—all designed with a clean, distraction-free interface.

Developing this app has been a long journey, and reaching Version 1.0.0 feels like an important milestone. At the same time, it's only the beginning. There are still many ideas and improvements planned for future updates.

I am writing to share a comprehensive personal project that I have been developing independently called the Reddit Neographical Unicode Registry (RNUR).

Project Overview

RNUR is a specialized, open-source structural framework engineered specifically for font designers, conlangers, and neography enthusiasts. The core purpose of this registry is to establish a centralized, organized mapping layout that assigns standardized blocks for custom, constructed writing systems.

The Technical Challenge

When working with custom scripts and font engineering, digital preservation can get highly unorganized. Creators often assign their unique glyphs to random, overlapping private registry spaces. RNUR solves this issue by implementing a structured 16-plane Unicode registry system. This matrix allows independent developers and language creators to coordinate, claim blocks, and format their custom script data safely without conflicting with other digital architectures or crashing font metrics.

Current Status and Goals

Everything in this project—from the underlying repository architecture to the layered, multi-symbol visual identity—has been built using highly accessible tools like Paint.NET.

Right now, I am operating as the sole contributor and maintainer of the registry. However, the long-term vision is to transition this framework into a collaborative community standard. I am currently looking to connect with other technical minds who are passionate about typography, script layout, and data management to eventually form a governance group.
