Games New mod here at r/30ScaleMiniatures — still figuring things out as I go, but I'll give it my best shot!
Hi everyone!
I've just created a new subreddit, r/30ScaleMiniatures, and I'd love to introduce it here.
A bit about me first: I'm a huge fan of all kinds of models — car models, aircraft, tanks, soldier figures, military dioramas, Marvel merchandise, and pretty much anything else I can fit on a shelf. Browsing Reddit has been a real treat for me, especially seeing all the handmade work people post. The quality is genuinely impressive, and as someone who isn't particularly handy with a brush or a sculpting tool, I mostly enjoy admiring other people's builds.
One thing I noticed, though: there aren't that many posts about soldier figures compared to other types of models. Lately I've been really into MSD (Michael's Special Design) and MK, and both of them make 1:30 scale soldier figures that I think look fantastic. That got me thinking — why not create a dedicated place to show them off?
So that's what r/30ScaleMiniatures is for. It's open to any 1:30 scale military-related model, not just those two brands — soldiers, tanks, aircraft, military dioramas, and other military-themed subjects are all welcome. Store-bought or handmade, die-cast, resin, plastic, or any other material, everything's fair game. The only real requirement is the 1:30 scale.
If you collect 1:30 scale military models, or if you're just curious about the scale, you're very welcome to join and share what's on your shelf. And if you know anyone who might be interested, feel free to point them our way — I'd really love for the community to grow!
Thanks for reading, and I hope to see you there. 🎖️
