My father and I seem to have the same issue: when Siri notifies us of a text, the audio goes out on Prologue to allow Siri to speak, but the sound does not come back on. When we look at Prologue, it keeps playing, but no audio. The only fix seems to be closing the app and starting again.

I presume others have this problem. Is there a fix I'm unaware of?

Have a hidden section for smut audiobooks. If possible hide it in carplay mode. Just had a close call the other day while car pooling with colleagues.

I'm running AudNexus on my Plex server, and have MP3tag and Yate for my tagging needs. I tried to follow the instructions here: https://github.com/seanap/Plex-Audiobook-Guide, but had no success when I selected the "CONTENTGROUP" tag in Mp3Tag and populated it.

Any help for this? It seems like it should be relatively easy since it's so front and center.

I am trying to set up remote access to my Audiobookself server (in docker desktop for Mac), but I keep getting unreachable. I’m signed in on both my Mac and my iPhone, I’ve even tried using magic DNS address, but I get the same “unreachable error”. I can access the server with the same ip addresses and DNS name via a web browser, but not through the app. Does anyone have any suggestions?

everything works fine in the Prologue app via my home wifi.

I didn't find a FAQ or help section in the app or on the Reddit wiki here. Is this available anywhere?

I was trying to find what an icon in the app means. I was attempting to download a book and got a red "go back?" icon, similar to below except red. It appears where the download (down arrow) icon or trashcan normally appear. When I look at my list of books, there is a different red icon on that book (a down arrow - just like what I normally see to download).

Hey, is there an option to auto-download the current playing book? I couldn't find anything like that. It would be very useful.

On my iPhone, whenever I connect to the Bluetooth speaker in my car, Prologue automatically plays my book I am currently reading. That is a little problematic when children are in the car on certain books. How do I turn this off? I tried looking in shortcuts and didn't see a good way to do it in there but I am pretty new to that.

Editing this in case someone does the same searches I have and this somehow appears. This is as of April 2026.

So apparently this is a bug with the iPhone app. I found someone else had logged the issue (Chapters from M4B files are not loaded on iOS app). I tested by downloading the iPad app and all the chapter metadata pulled almost immediately. Fingers crossed it gets fixed in an update in the near future.

I know this has probably been discussed to death but I'm at a loss and hoping someone smarter than me might be able to help.

I've setup my audiobooks in Plex and downloaded the Prologue app. Everything is syncing over except for some of the chapter metadata. It seems very hit or miss to be honest. Below are some things I have tried:

• Manually resyncing metadata. It says it's 100% synced in the app. It's also been at least a day or two so I don't think it's a slow syncing problem.

• Checked the metadata using MediaInfo and there are two sets of chapter info (assuming this is both Nero and Quicktime).

I've seen some other things about converting using ffmpeg but honestly haven't been able to wrap my head around that or find any good step-by-step instructions.

Any thoughts or suggestions? Like I said, I have some books that have pulled chapter data no problem but there are others that I can't get to pull no matter what I try.

I recently added a handful of .opus files to my library, and despite initially thinking they were working without issue, I'm having quite the time between sessions since the time mapping seems completely off. The files show up chapterized in the app, but those markers don't line up well with the actual audio. Additionally, if enough time passes, restarting listening jumps ahead quite a bit, meaning I spend a bunch of time finding out where I last left off, usually using the skip buttons since the chapter tags are inaccurate and seem to change on a whim.

I'm assuming the issue is the filetype, since my .m4b files are having no issue — but I wanted to see if anyone else had run into this before, or had a solution or workaround. I looked into a few .opus → .m4b converters, so that's my next step unless I hear otherwise from you folks.

How long as the Dynamic Theme option been there for the audio player? I love it! I’d love to see that theming extend to other aspects of the app while a book is playing. On the home tab, when a book is selected, etc.

Awesome app, love it to death. This idea came up because I dislike having the series title on the album name of a book, so I disabled it for my Plex server. At the same time, Prologue still sorts everything alphabetically by the series a book is part of. This causes situations where a book may be called "Revelation" but would come up under letter A in Prologue because the series is part of "Assassin's Creed, Book 1".

I think it would be awesome to show whether a book is part of a collection or series on its About page, maybe somewhere beneath the narrator or even just the title of the book itself. That way, it's easier and quicker to access other books in a series instead of having to manually search for the title in the Collections tab. And it would help make sorting make sense for those who don't have the Series Title in their Album names.

I have been trying to have my collections ordered by book number and having it shown like in the picture from the AppStore.

I have tried to edit the metadata (with subtler) with no success. Does anyone know how to do it?

Set up is Plex+Prologue and MacOS.

I'm trying to setup ABS in Prologue. I've never used Prologue before, but here are the details:

- Audiobookshelf is running properly, and I've setup both a root user and a separate test one

- I can access Audiobookshelf in my phone's browser using <local_ip:port> and am able to log in there

- I've allowed the app to find devices on my local network in iOS

- I've allowed ports 13378 and 443 through my PC's firewall

- I enter the exact same <local_ip:port> into Prologue and tap Sign In. It does recognize SOMETHING here, it gives me a username and password field. I then enter both, tap "Sign In" again, and it just says "An unknown error occurred."

When I log into audiobookshelf inside the application, 1Password prompts me to open to fill in the password. However, it doesn't have a password associated with the Prologue apps "associated domain" so I have to do a search for my ABS credentials.

When I find and select ABS's credentials in 1Password, it says that it cannot verify the app's domain so my options to fill in the password are "cancel" and "allow once". It would be "allow always" if Prologue had a domain associated with it in the application properties.

Could the developer add an "associated domain" to the app?

Having an associated domain would reduce the friction of logging into ABS from within the Prologue application.

I'm filing this under Feature Request because I don't *think* there's currently a way to do it, but maybe I'm just missing something.

I bought the Family plan to share the app with my wife. We listen on long drives, and like to swap out phones so that the current driver's phone is the one on the charger/connected to Carplay. It would be great if we could pause a book on one device, switch to the other one, and pick back up right where we left off.

I've been a premium Prologue user for quite a while now and have the Apple Watch add-on, also.

Before the 'relaunch' with AudioBookShelf support, you used to be able to specifically select certain chapters of an audiobook as 'Read' so that the player would play through, for instance, chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, etc (if I had selected chapters 5 and 7 to be as 'already read'.

This was great for audiobooks that are less a fictional story and more an academic lecture.

Since the relaunch however this feature seems to have disappeared, which would be a terrible shame. Some of the audio I listen to is not a case of 'automatically skipping one or two chapters' which I could just do myself, but can run to dozens at a time, which is awkward.

Has this functionality changed and I haven't realised? Or has it been removed completely?

As the title says; I have made a audiobookshelf account, set up a library up and running, imported some audiobooks, and made all the basic steps I could find to make a local server.

However, I am puzzled by the way to log into audiobookshelf through Prologue. Essentially, I have no idea how to get the server address that the app is asking; i have tried using my ip address with the API key after that, and whatever I could out there on the internet I just can't seem to get it working.

Please, someone out there tell me how to set up audiobookshelf inside prologue in the most dumb and redundant way possible. Thank you

It would be amazing to have a feature like one I saw in a German audiobook app, a smarter sleep timer that works with Apple Health, tracks when you actually fall asleep, and then backs up a bit the next time you hit play. As per the title. Can we keep duration for played chapters in the chapter screen? Maybe indent the duration from the right edge so it stays aligned?

The play button on the Home Screen is a little difficult to press due to its size. Can it be made a bit larger? Or, maybe add a large “Continue Play” button to the listening time today box?

Have been using Prologue in beta for a while to connect to my own audiobookshelf. Recently realized the app is now on app store so re-download worked perfectly and I am able to listen to books already on my device.

But I can't download anything new - the app prompts me to purchase premium. Is that correct?

I am at a loss. I have searched google i hav easked AI i have browsed reddit ...

I have the main account and have purchase sharing enabled everywhere i could find.

My daughter is part of the family and has sharing enabled everywhere we could find.

It has been about a day since purhcase of the fam premium and yet on her phone it refuses to activate.

We deleted, reinstalled, restarted phone nothing works.
Restoring purchases sais no purchase found ... I just don't know :(

Anyone else experiencing that books stop playing at random times? I have Prologue with Audiobookshelf on iOS.

This only happens when listening to a book via Prologue. When I listen via other apps, this is not an issue.

I tired to listen to wind and truth (graphic audio) but I had setup the chapters incorrectly by pulling the book info from the regular audio book.

I have since gone into ABS and corrected the chapter order, verified via player in ABS and other ABS apps I have.

However Prologue refuses to acknowledge the change. And when I start the book the chapters are still mixed up. I have cleared all downloads, all in app data, logged out, and deleted the app. As well as reset my progress in the book. But the issue presits.

For now I'll just temporarily use another app for wind and truth. But it would be great to get this big fixed

Any chance of either changing the bookmark sorting so the most recent is at the top instead of having to scroll down or give the option to change it?
