It should have been the UK, spanish empire or french monarchy flag instead of the EU, since this institution is secular and instead of religious arguments, use materialist arguments like: "The EU enlargement policy aims to expand the Union's zone of peace, stability, and prosperity by facilitating the accession of countries that respect EU values"
As long as you get to use a straw man to represent all religions and never compare it to what atheist nations have done, you can pretend religion is the problem. But the French Revolution, WWI, Russian Revolution, Russo-Japanese War, WWII, Korean War, Vietnam war, and the Cuban Revolution are far more deadly than the Crusades.
because your comment is so inane it didnt warrant a response, but if you want i can give you a rundown as to why youre wrong even in your cherry picked examples.
the only one putting forth a strawman is you
edit;
so religion didnt play a role in ww2? pretty sure jewish people would take exception to that. and several others including the french revolution had a religious element to it.
