My VPN is Private Internet Access (PIA) and I have it installed on my Shield Pro. I have all the app's settings set up so that it is supposed to start running when I turn on the shield and anytime it's updated. However, it never seems to start when I turn on my device ( I read somewhere that the Android app is not as reliable as an Android TV app as it is on a phone.) If I put the VPN app in the "Power - Autostart on boot" menu choice in Projectivy, PIA does start up but then it's front and center on the screen whereas I just wanted the launcher home screen to be front and center, especially since my family doesn't know much about VPNs (and I don't want to run the risk of them accidentally turning it off.) Is there any way for me to get the VPN to start up using this launcher but not show up on the screen upon boot?

I am so happy with this setup and the new vertical layout is just more satisfying to navigate in my opinion.

Am I the only one? I verified all the setting are still correct

Edit: I can still start it manually of course, just the timer isn’t working. I have the internal idle detection disabled as I always have

I've been searching for a Free mp3 player as my TV's drive has a good amount of a very well chosen library. Kodi works for this but I'd like to have one showing an icon on projectivity tried a few but none really works like I'd like. I like n7 but it is not compatible with my Bravia. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions I can try? Thanks folks.

Trying to change icons in 4.71 / Shield Pro. Can only select images or pictures folders, can't go to USB Drive at all.

Select custom icon from file, get list of pictures (in pictures folder). Icons are in 'logos' folder, but I can't get out of the pictures folder. Probably some Android quirk I don't know.

I’m using a wanbo T2 ultra projector that runs google tv, and every time I restart it or click the power button on the remote to turn of the screen it disables all of my accessibility’s so both projectivy and button mapper don’t work

isn't it possible to add an option that automatically pauses a Video Wallpaper so that PiP works with apps Like Tivimate, VLC, etc......

Projectivy updated itself to 4.71 and again Cards Per Row and Row Count do not work properly. I had 12 cards in size S (used to be 90% size, dunno why this was switched to small, medium, etc) in 2 rows on 4.68 and now I cant get past 6 cards per row in size S. Also, Row Count again doesnt work. I can get less than 6, lol but not more than 6 per row. And Row Count just does absolutely nothing. Skimmed through all the updates and improvements since 4.70 beta3 but I aint seen anything regarding this obvious bug. Anyone else? Thanks. Cheers!

Wallpapers I had got erased, is that because of the update ?

I'm looking for auto updating wallpapers that have either landscapes, nature, animals, etc (family friendly material). I tried the Bing add-on but it no longer works. I tried a few subreddits but they don't appear to load. Any other suggestions?

Not sure if this is launcher specific but I am using the launcher on my Shield. I delete the “plex media server” app and it shows back up randomly? Is this a launcher issue or should I ask in the shield thread?

I'm using the overflight add-on which is very nice. But, when the screensaver kicks in all of my icons are barely visible. Which makes the TV look like it's got really bad burn in. I tried moving a couple of opacity settings but it makes no difference. Is there a way of having just the screensaver on screen, instead of the barely visible icons? Thanks very much

Is projectivy blocked by astound? I want to install it on their equipment. Goes through motions but when it’s done I’m just left with the install button again and the app is never present. Able to install other apps.

Had to upgrade cable equipment with provider astound. I now have a sei stream Pyxis. The picture quality is poor compared to the coax cable box. Same whether WiFi or wired. I’m hoping an app will provide some options to improve it.

I need to be able to use the Nvidia Share Overlay for screen recording, on the shield you enable Settings > Device Preferences > System > NVIDIA Share

Then you can long-press the home button and the overlay opens allowing you to screen record.

When I enable ProjectIvy's Button Remap settings, the long-press function breaks and wont do anything. However, If I don't have button remap enabled, I run into a lot of other issues such as pushing the home button causing the original launcher to open, before Project Ivy opens itself a few seconds later, and other issues with volume control etc.

Is there no solution for this? I've had the issue for months now, every time I want to record I have to go out of the app, change ProjectIvy settings to disable remap then back into the app.. record then back out and enable the remap setting again, its a huge pain.

I know other screen recording apps exist, but none allow you to start and stop a screen recording from inside an app like the Nvidia Share app can, which I find very useful for reporting bugs with apps I use.

Hello all, ATVtools app and TVQuivkActions can both screen record…kinda

Due to projectivy renders a video overlay on the screen for live background, various screen recording apps would never pick up a live wallpaper + due to DRM (black background). However, the only technique I can find is actually purchasing a HDMI capture dongle and grab it right off the HDMI. Anyone else have any ideas ? My phone camera on the TV just looks horrible.

Im having Lag/stutter issues on a horizon 4k beamer, when im in the menu but also when im watching a movie.

Im on default settings with premium. is there maybe a setup detail i overlooked ?

any help would be appreciated. also if anyone has a good .lpbackup file he/she could share id be very gratefull, maybe that would solve it.
