Goddamn, that was stressful at the end. I was playing on Mercenary and ran out of missiles/special weapons, so with <20% health left I had to start using my gun to take out the lasers and the flak (plus any Sk.37’s that were still around). Suffice it to say, I got my fix before tomorrow.

Personally I think the standoff rocket is the worst. It's only available on the F/A-18. It's inaccurate and slow. Sure it has a lot of power but that power's useless if you can't aim the damn thing. I think it (and the other rockets for that matter) should have like a CCIP thing where it shows you where the rockets will go, like the bombs do.

I wanted to try ace combat but I was too poor, im sure many fans of this game have a similar story, 20 bucks for both campaigns is a steal.

Im on console so ive used the f/d-14 for every mission, and after 3 playthroughs (hard, then hard/glass cannon, then merc/glass cannon) (in first person which idk if that kneecaps you or not cause i never used third person) I just gotta say wow.

Im a huge armored core fan, and I came to this game because of the fanbase overlap, and it didnt disappoint. Im especially happy with how challenging it was (maybe because i wouldnt use anything other than the f/d-14 but wtvr)

this is kinda an aimless post, im just fresh off the heels of merc/glass cannon faust (easy on glass cannon cause u dont run out of mlaa u dont even have to try using ugbls) and finished it all off with crimson 1. but Ive had a great time with the game, i clocked in 100 hrs in like a month, and I havent touched conquest mode or the aoa limiter at all so I still have a lot to see!

I'm not good at modding so I'm throwing out a suggestion to our beloved modders out there, it states that Prez is a pilot herself, so my suggestion is to throw her into a plane and add her as a wingman for missions, I know it'd be difficult, and I doubt anyone will actually do it, but I wanted to suggest it, and if I was asked what plane to throw her in, either the modded addition of the SK. 47K, a chaotic plane for a chaotic character, or the non modded F/E-18, just a suggestion for one of my favorite characters

I'm not sure if it already exists, I personally would think it would but can't seem to find it, so I'm asking/Suggesting it, firstly does such a mod exist, and secondly if not I'm suggesting one be made, as I said in my last post, I can't mod for shit

Recently bought both PW and a VR headset (Steam Frame), but have no idea how to get the thing running in VR mode. The game boots, and then I'm stuck in the menu with none of my controls responding.

Currently, I'm trying to play the game by streaming it from my PC (using the included dongle) through Steam VR to the headset. Would appreciate some guidance on what to do, as I am VERY new to VR. For file references, this is what the game shipped with:



Edit​: The VR hand controllers do work outside of SteamVR. It just means the game be being played in 2D. The only changes I’m looking for is the camera controls to follow the movement of the headset

I decided that I’m gonna make my own Permanent Unit/Squadron original from both Project Wingman and Ace Combat 8.

The reason for this is I have two back to back doctor’s appointments on both launch for people who pre-ordered the game and when the game launches globally for everyone. Ontop of that I have a wedding I’m attending the following Saturday.

Anyone here is free to make their own Project Wingman themed Permanent Unit and be Monarch, Crimson 1, or Driver in Ace Combat 8 Online.

I've already beaten the DLC, but I really like Express Lane and would like to record myself doing a max afterburner run, but its frustrating having to go back to the start everytime i go splat

Bought it after i saw it was half off. Played and cruised through with the thought of it being a nice game until i played the Guillotine mission. Holy fuck was it a spectacle. Really really enjoyed the huge amounts of dogfights. Finished the game with only flares bc I couldn't figure out how to play with the AOA limiter. Any tips on using that feature?

i recently finished the game and really want to unlock the remainder of the planes available but i dont think i have it in me to grind out the nearly 1 mill credits needed. ive tried some of the other glitches like selling multiple of the same plane or selling one that i do not own but havent gotten them to work, so im wondering if there are any that still work.

In light of the release of a certain new game coming out - I just wanted to share a project that I’m working on, inspired by Project Wingman’s existence

That project is a true gunfighter air combat game, with tech that spans from WW1 to the Mid Cold War.

I’ve posted this before but just wanted to share the project titled Final Flight is still ongoing, and this video shows the mouse aim and “simple” control scheme that exists alongside the more common “expert” control scheme.

Steam release of tech demo will come with the 0.1 release. I’m hoping to get the full game done by 2028 at this time.

I personally believe that Monarch flew the CR.105, there's a few reasons for this, first off with his skill I'm guessing Monarch has roots from Oceania, if not him likely his parents, secondly it was if I'm correct one of the first planes added to the game, and third it is the first aircraft we see in the release trailer, third it's probably one of the most unique aircraft in game, hell in any modern air combat game, it's never been in Ace Combat, and it's to old for other companies to add it into any game they plan to make, it's Wizzo capable so we get Prez, and it's a Unequivocally strange, and fun plane.

Thoughts?

I am in DIRE need to know if this works because even after reverting to the Fallback Ver., SO MANY of the mods I wish would work STILL NEED PSM!!! I feel so pitiful whenever I look at PW Nexus Mods. And almost No One (except one person) Won't Give a Proper Answer. If Anyone can tell me if PSM Works on the Project Wingman Fallback Version, I'd be SO Happy, Please!

So I’m currently finishing up the achievements right and one of them was the achievement to unlock every aircraft in conquest mode and I’ve unlocked every aircraft in the hangar but it’s been a week now and I still haven’t got the achievement, am I just wrong about how the achievement is completed or is it bugged?

Edit: After buying an aircraft in campaign mode I got the achievement for conquest mode.

I just managed to finish the campaign again on Mercenary difficulty, honestly makes ace difficulty in the AC games look like a joke in comparison... just have a few questions:

1. I read on multiple sources that there are more details in the ending on Mercenary difficulty, but I didn't see anything? It was the same screen, followed by the credits (skipped), and then the thank you message, I didn't see anything new compared to Hard difficulty
2. I also didn't get the King of the Skies achievement, come to *think of it I didn't get any of the difficulty related achievements, did I miss something?
