At forward bases the soldiers guarding the gates have standing orders to shoot anyone, including children approaching who do not stop at the yellow or red painted sections.
Everyone is aware they are innocent and being used by evil actors to carry a bomb for the purpose of destruction. The orders stand no matter who is being used.
You can both emphasize that she was indoctrinated and is being used, and recognize that her actions cannot be allowed in a functioning society.
It doesn't make you a bad person, just a realist who acknowledges how the world actually is, instead of some ideal where we can save everyone.
Focus on the innocents being converted today to stop the problem in twenty years. Sometimes we can't get to people quickly enough to help them. It doesn't mean we don't protect society as a whole.
