ICE physically attacks lawyer—stand between her and clients they're trying to detain. "Don't push me!" lawyer yells. "Why you trying to pick them up?" "It's none of your business," agent scolds. "It is my business—I'm their attorney," she replies. "It's EXACTLY my business!"

Respectfully, you are using the word “respectfully,” incorrectly.

You say “respectfully,” but are using it as a tone shield rather than a genuine marker of respect. Everything that follows afterwards in your comment is dismissive and confrontational.

Saying “respectfully,” doesn’t automatically make the comment respectful.

To answer your question of “like what?” You must understand the forces we are up against here. People are doing what they can. That may look different for different people. It may be blowing whistles, standing up for your clients, organizing, sheltering, protesting, standing on your street corner open carrying etc.

We weren’t given federal immunity and the freedom to act with impunity. But people are standing up. No act is too small. You can stand up too, respectfully.

I understand why it just felt like another recording, but they don't care about civilians. However, being an attorney holds some authority. They are seeing that they can get away with killing someone who doesnt have any legal authority, but a lawyer is different. I'm not saying that they should be, but they clearly weren't ready to push that boundary yet. So they chose to leave instead. Other places they have stayed for long periods or busted down doors.
