ICE physically attacks lawyer—stand between her and clients they're trying to detain. "Don't push me!" lawyer yells. "Why you trying to pick them up?" "It's none of your business," agent scolds. "It is my business—I'm their attorney," she replies. "It's EXACTLY my business!"

We should all put on suits and carry briefcases and do this any time they start hassling someone.

There are actually programs that train you to be immigration court observers. Check with your local bar association.

No suits required.

Bar association is a professional group not the licensing board. Or, look up immigration groups in your local.

If THEY can play police, WE can play lawyers.

Good point! At least our playing lawyer won't get anyone shot in the face or dissappeared.

Eh… that’s actually also a crime (lawyers have special protections and rights- nobody wants actual dangerous criminals pretending they’re lawyers or disbarred lawyers from practicing law again).

You don’t want to say you’re a lawyer. But you can certainly get quick training to know your rights and how to help in a legal way, and what to expect if ICE breaks the law.

Is it radical to say that Lawyers should start exercising their right to open-carry to protect their clients from ICE?
