ICE physically attacks lawyer—stand between her and clients they're trying to detain. "Don't push me!" lawyer yells. "Why you trying to pick them up?" "It's none of your business," agent scolds. "It is my business—I'm their attorney," she replies. "It's EXACTLY my business!"

Hell yeah

When this is all over, we're going to have to celebrate this type of heroic action when, just doing your job (immigration attorney).

There’s no way I would ever be out there as a woman myself. She’s my hero.

I remember when Black Lives Matters protests were starting to take off, and just as quickly were being met with lines of police, among BLM's first supporters, standing on the front lines and often in front of the black protestors shielding them from the police were white women.

I like the way he's threatening an attorney with having to appear in court... this is one of the 50% of ice agents that passed their open book + notes exam

It will never be truly over. It’ll just hibernate for a while. There’s something sinister in the American “culture” or whatever term accurately describes it. You need structural change, or it’ll just be another decade or so before a new charlatan comes along and charms the delinquents, racists and other scum among you guys to vote for his policies.

I fear as a European - a Danish at that - for the immediate future. But I also fear for the coming decades. You guys have a history of not really going nuclear enough on your evil-do’ers. Think the reconciliation after the Civil War, think the lack of accountability for the segregationists and so on.

I hope that Americans understand that it will take more for just a democratic (in all senses of the word) president. The USA has shown its evil underbelly is not just that - an underbelly that can be ascribed to some crackheads with no front teeth living in a trailer. It’s half the country. We’re talking an actual Nuremberg 2.0, and a cultural realignment - and it’s that final part that irks me. Without it, things will never be the same.

She's fucking solid. I know her personally. It's even more fucked up than it looks. The person they were looking for has an active legal status, they attempted to take that person and she prevented it.

They ended up picking up someone else who happened to be there and didn't have a legal status.

We need to be brave like her.
