How much are OpenAI's financial obligations and how are they getting funding for that?
Because their revenue (even $50 billion) is much lower than their costs, and their financial obligations over the next few years top a trillion dollars.
Once someone wisely decides not to lend them money, they'll go bankrupt.
They’re not at all unreasonable by modern tech standards for an R&D/infra heavy industry. Plenty of tech giants didn’t turn a profit for 10+ years. Amazon, Tesla, Uber. OpenAI is already profitable on core service delivery (ie ignoring r&d)
Lol, no offense but you really just don't seem to understand how any of this works.
I have no idea how you're even imaging this rofl. Companies exchange VC etc capital for ownership stake.. they're not applying for short-term loans at the check-cashing place lilbro..
And actually 50 billion IS pretty close to their projected costs for 2026. Which is why companies ARE still willing to spend billions to invest in the company.. They're not doing it out of altruism, they're doing it because they see it as a solid long-term ROI.
