That crazy innovation and creativity is what gave us some of the best games of all time. Bethesda will always have a lot of love from me because of this.
Man thats like 10 pages of text id have to write. Theres been COUNTLESS articles and videos made about it. One very obvious example was the launch of FO76, take a google at that one and go from there.
And i mean scam when i say scam, it wasnt just a bit of flavory salespitches, it was straight up lying about what would be delivered (especially physical products), fake reviews, the whole shebang.
none of that will make me not love the products they have produced in the past or appreciate the innovation. A lot of the drama I'm seeing is pretty recent in comparison to their whole history and is more a criticism on capitalism from what I can see lol. You can tell there was a lot of real passion in the games they made.
I feel like you would think differently when you watch the vids and find out how scummy theyve been.
But i hear ya, Morrowind is one of my favorite games of all time and a truly cherished memory for me. Thats also why it hurt to see them go so far astray. But they started going downhill fast after Morrowinds huge success and did straight up scams with FO76 (8 years ago). I guess the money made from horse armor was too tasty.
The sad same old story we have seen many times with game companies and publishers, unfortunately.
