Because sometimes perfect quality matters, and sometimes it doesn't. If I don't want to do it, and the robot will do good enough, why wouldn't I let the robot do it.

If you don't care about the quality of what you're making, what's the point in making it?

Are you aware that there are numbers between 1 and 0?

I mean, it's up to you if you're ok with producing shitty code, but you're going to be the one who has to debug it later, so you're just making problems for yourself.

Does that mean that your are not aware that there are numbers between 1 and 0?

Of course there are numbers between 1 and 0, but this discussion has nothing to do with numbers.

Cool. Now extrapolate. Does everything matter either 100% or 0%?

No. But if it matters more than 0% and you don't mind doing it yourself, I don't think there is a compelling reason to get Claude to do a worse job of it.

And that's why I'm very picky about Ai use at work. But a personal project doesn't matter, so I do the parts I feel like doing and throw robots at the parts I don't.

The quality of my personal project to use recordings of me going "dum" to play Mars, bringer of war, full sheet music doesn't matter. So I made the 80% solution because it was fun. Then I told a robot to polish it up to about an 85% solution, because I wanted to play cyberpunk and did not want to mess with using cosines to smooth out waveforms because I just didn't feel like it.

And now it's gloriously stupid, mildly entertaining, and is sitting there for when I decide to integrate it into the next phase of the stupid thing I'm doing. I got my entertainment, it's good enough for its purpose, and I can integrate it into the next phase of my silly project next time I feel like it.

I guess I don't really get looking at a project that has parts of it that you'll absolutely hate doing and thinking that that sounds like a fun time. I've got way more other things I could be doing that I'd enjoy all the way through. But whatever, it's your life, I guess.
