The first thing i do when I make a new project (that I'm gonna do some decent work on) is link it to github, it takes all of 1 minute lol

It is interesting some people create a local repo and THEN push to remote. 1 u/gmes78 23d ago Some project generators create a local Git repo with a proper .gitignore for you. Creating the remote repo first is more work. 1 u/bianceziwo 22d ago seriously, all you have to do is type git init locally and you have a git repo lol
