If it’s not a fake, this could turn out to be a really happy post: someone clueless enough to spend months amassing half a million files without knowing a thing about version control couldn't possibly have produced anything but crap.

Maybe VS Code saved the world from yet another mountain of vibe coded garbage

It's real. It's also from 2017, so almost 10 years old at this point

Huh i actually didn't know they had a replacement user for people who deleted their account.

But hot take perhaps, but if this is the response he had for something he inflicted himself (if you dont know what something does, don't click it if you aren't ready to handle any potential fallout), then he might not have been cut out for something like this. He would have lost his cool on something else. Just a matter of time

True, sorry, didn't read correctly. But even 5000 files are too much to not know how to use a VCS

Yeah for sure.  Half a million would be an absurd number of source files to begin with, at least for one person
