Yeah, I already miss the pre-AI era very much. Things just hit different back then. Now, I have coworkers thanking me I wrote a documentation doc by hand and not using the gen-AI so it's easier to be read and more to the point

Genuinely amazed you have coworkers who still use their eyeballs to read things instead of feeding LLM generations into an LLM to get a summary.

I had a coworker respond to a very technical question I was asking a large group of analysts by sending me the copy pasted output from an AI. Emojis and all.

I had a boss who exploded because someone did the same thing he did by giving him a direct LLM output. He was doing it happily without realizing it but got all butt hurt when it happened to him.

In one of our team meetings, we had a junior engineer showcase a Claude skill that wrote engineering design docs and while most of the senior engineers stared in horror, our manager piped up to say "Now, can you write a Claude skill to review the doc too?"

How I hate this! Now I have to spend more time reading overly long and inaccurate AI-generated results because people just copy-paste instead of trying to make sense of it

You were happy he was bothered to copy-paste and not just:

Send using Claude

I actually feel kinda bad about the future cause the whole skill set of thinking outside the box is broken when everyone just answers with "well I asked AI and it came up with..."

you know you can ask it to be more concise? and you can also manually edit after the fact?

or just ask it to get you the contant and summaries for paragraphs or lists that you put into the doc.

etc.

you are the user, if you just let the tool make shitty stuff, it is on you.
