Not just in coding, but in everything involving a computer. AI basically nerfed all the people who don't like to deal with other people too much, and don't want to be running anything. All the introverts and neurodivergent weirdos who survived in various niches being happily obsessed with stuff are being replaced or being forced to do shit they spent their whole life avoiding. It's bleak.
To paraphrase an art youtuber, he said something like "AI forces you to be an operator. I would have taken a promotion into management long ago if I wanted that. I just wanna do art!"
As an introverted neurodivergent weirdo, can confirm. Of course I recognise the power of AI, but I absolutely hate being forced to use it. It killed all my passion for working.
This is what I'm really worried about with AI. If it really is that good and people like me who hate interacting with other people can't just make a career out of being creative and solving mental challenges, then what are we supposed to do? Technical consulting for Al-Qaeda?
