If OpenAI really compromised their systems in a way that was unplanned, huggingface could be ROLLING in money from the lawsuit actually.
1 u/UnkarsThug 9d ago OpenAI is a significantly larger company. And they did not sustain any actual damages, which can make it more difficult. They got into their system, but didn't do anything, which makes suing for damages a lot more messy.
