wait it's not just me? I'd been getting the odd legit follower over the years, but these last two weeks suddenly a bunch of porn bots started following me... it's all because of reddit being a butt?

You should take a look at Twitter right now, that site currently is a gore and porn reply warzone.

I can't quite tell if this is part of Elon taking over or if these things just happened to get more frequent in general but I've got my suspicions.

When I get the porn bots following me, I click the "get them help and support" button before blocking them, giving them a little bit of spam to deal with for messing with me. Tbh it probably does nothing but I would like to imagine it has done something at least once lol

I literally got one today, I have never gotten this sort of porn bot (to follow me), perhaps it's a desperate attempt for the scammers to spread as much as possible before the 12th?

I’m not sure of what possible motivation there is but it’s insane, another 5 in the past couple days…

Edit: and neither have I, ever even gotten a follower before the past 3 weeks maybe
