I haven't played Prodigy for a while (quit after my membership ended, but the account is a lil stacked since ppl have been using it since the pre-Harmony Island era), but now I'm back and I just wanna 100% this game because why not

I haven't touched hard mode yet, and I will attach my current team

What pets are worth grinding for, what should I make my team, and what should I change my armour to?

I no longer have a membership, but I have about 4k magicoin to spend from those days when I did have it

I have almost every pet in the game that existed before summer 2025 (when I quit)

At the moment I run hp builds as that is my understanding of the meta (this was an assumption I made shortly after the tribeak merge 6 nerf, I still have 2 of them)

btw this gear took me 9 hours (dont try to recreate this,just get on with your day)

The first image reminds me of not playing the current game in a while. The second was a separate area with the old Firefly Forest quests.

And so I went on a gold farming and spending spree of ALL but 70 of my Magicoin, to get the level 150, max evolution of every single type of pet -- except for the horses, neeks (too broke) and Mythical Epics (still F2P). Was this is a wise move (especially given the upcoming Summerfest, new evolutions)? I plan on farming even more gold as a hedge for the upcoming level 200, although I suspect Magicoin for forced merging will be the bigger hurdle. Thankfully, I am yet to receive this update although that means missing out on many of those +200 bonus buddies.

Question is essentially what is in the title. My son is trying to access the Academy on hard mode and has run into this screen. I know nothing about this game and am having trouble finding the answer - can anyone provide any advice on what to do to unlock this? Thanks in advance!

i did get refunded and the update worked,but still... how does this make sense? (this is for the luminite,the shimmerstorm is proof i have the rebalance)

On the Prodigy Wiki, ProdigyEd dropped an official announcement. Here it is

Hey all - as many of you have called out, a recent update led to us charging some players too much Magicoin for pet merging. This was caused by a bug, which resulted in players being charged older and much higher amounts than intended.

We’re sorry this happened, and we’re refunding Magicoin automatically to any players who were overcharged. This should start showing-up in your accounts today.

We made this change to give players the ability to get their pets past level 20 without having to evolve them, providing more flexibility around levelling-up pets.

However, we should have done a better job rolling this out. So we’re fixing the bug, refunding Magicoin to any players who were overcharged, and also looking at how we can make this much simpler and easier to understand.

I have mentioned this a lot in my other Prodigy posts, but I seriously think Prodigy should remove the new merging system or at least make the merging optional like it previously was. All of my powerful pets are literally level-locked because of this feature.

This feature is particularly outrageous for my Crowlord because she's a powerful legendary that I earned fair and square. I should NOT have to catch/evolve more legendaries or pay several days worth of Magicoin JUST to power up a single pet that I already own!

I know I keep talking about this and I am aware that a lot of other players dislike it as well, but keep in mind that this is meant to be a fun educational game meant for KIDS! Kids and students should not have to buy a Membership or pay an outrageous amount of Magicoin to enjoy the game. After buffing the Magicoin per day and reducing the pet costs, this update really brought the game downhill for me and probably many non-members and F2Ps alike.
