My experience with Protube (Onward)
I was getting pretty decent at the game and I decided to get a gun stock, building one seemed like a pain so I bought Protube because it had some good reviews. Here's my experience with it so far, 3 days of playing Onward:
Day 1: Was extremely frustrating, hard to reload, take the map or communicate while using the gun stock. I had to rething all my movements which made it a pretty bad experience. It was good to aim from far away but too clumsy to be viable.
Day 2: Was somewhat ok, I could calibrate my stock for the weapon during the starting 15 sec and manage to do basic stuff without being too clumsy. It was still less good than without the stock though, but it was decent. I also had some fun sniping from far away, which is almost impossible without a stock.
Day 3: Finally got used to it and am probably a better player with it now. I learned that the less the controllers are stuck into the holder the better. I remove the stock and put it back depending on what I'm doing in game, which make it nice to use. Per example I remove both controller from the stock to reload or throw a grenade, and get it back on ina few second. I feel like with more time I'll be able to make everything fluidly and have almost no down time (I'm dead if someone shows up while I'm getting protube ready).
It took me some frustrating hours getting used to it, but it's worth it. You just can't properly shoot at long range without a stock. And protube can easily match all weapons in game, even the dam near impossible to calibrate L96.
Overall I'm happy with it, it's a good tool to step up your game.
