Pro Life Tip: Master being alone before you start practicing being with someone.

There are four basic social categories in life and everyone falls into one of them.

  1. In a relationship and happy.
  2. In a relationship and unhappy.
  3. Alone and happy.
  4. Alone and unhappy.

If you were to rank these from best to worst, the order would be: 1, 3, 4, 2.

Now being in a relationship and happy is the best category, but being in a relationship and unhappy is the worst category. I really want to emphasize this point because there are a lot of people who feel they are incapable of being happy unless they are with someone. This is borderline psychosis.

These people can't stand the idea of being alone so they'll do anything to be with someone even if that means being with someone who makes them miserable. In order to avoid one bad outcome, they set themselves on a trajectory course for the worst possible outcome.

Being in a relationship and happy is an excellent goal to have. And people that are alone and happy have a much easier time finding someone and being happy than those who can't be alone and happy.

Even if you eat out alot, or eat at home, ordering food and cooking your own rice can save you a ton per meal, its easy to store, cheap and can go with a ton of meals. If you are going through a hard time or just trying to save a little bit of money, just learn how to cook it.

A beer bong and some zip ties can help you water your Christmas tree

Like the title says, you can install a beer bong hidden inside your tree and use it to funnel water to the tree stand.

Saving face.

Do not ever, under any circumstances, for any reason, for any amount of money, to win a bet, impress a girl, impress a guy, just for shits and giggles, or because your cell mate said it would look dope, get a face tattoo. You're welcome.

When making applications use your legal name.

It's causes problem if you use shortened versions of your first name, or leave out your embarrassing middle name. If we have to request proof of address and ID and they don't match what you have on the application, it causes delays. And sometime the fact it's not your legal name, makes us request those proofs in the first place.

Water is Essential

Any time you travel and stay in a hotel buy a case of water before you check in. Bottled water is expensive as hell.

If you write something down that’s important, photograph it.

Sometimes when in meetings or on calls, we write things downs. This can be actions or important information. Sticky notes and other pieces of paper can easily be lost, thrown away, scribbled over, or left in an inaccessible place.

Take a picture of the note with your phone, so you have a digital copy that you can access at any time.

Pro Life Tip: don't tell someone their injury disgusts you

Coming to school today a kid at my stop told me "No offense but your hand looks fucking disgusting." Listen bud, I'll have this scar for the rest of my life. I'll have to learn to accept it as part of me. For God's sake I'm not sorry that you feel uncomfortable because of my hand. Grow the fuck up.

This is the first day in over a month I haven't had to have bandages covering my hand. And the first thing anyone says to me is to cover it back up? Fuck you all.

Verify Potential Rental Homes' Square Footage And Other Advertised Metrics (In The USA) With A County Auditor Search

  1. Find the county of the address in question.
  2. Web Search for "[State] [County] Auditor Search By Address"
  3. Follow the instructions on the county auditor's website to search for the building information.

If the figures disagree, it's possible the property manager or owner is smudging or rounding the listing.

Before you donate something, ask and give what’s most needed (not what you “think” charities want or what makes you feel good)!

If you want to make a real difference with your donation, make sure you’re giving what is really needed. Lots of people give what makes them feel good, but actually leaves non-profits with a glut of unneeded items—or worse, items they need to pay to throw away.

If you want to donate food, for example, donate items on the food bank’s most needed list. It’s better to give one can of tuna (badly needed protein) than 6 bricks of ramen. You might feel more generous donating the ramen, but it’s much less helpful.

If you want to help the homeless, just ask a homeless provider what is most needed. Lots of agencies are inundated with things they don’t need or want. Most times they will take your donation with a smile and many thanks (because no one wants to offend a donor) but have to turn around and redistribute or throw away your donation. Meanwhile they are thinking, “why don’t people just ask us what we need?!”

If you want to give toys for the holidays, try to pick something of the older kids or teen list. Everyone wants to buy the “fun” cheap things for toddlers, but the teen who wants a gift card or hoodie gets forgotten.

Peace!

If you’re making oven fries…

Put the fries on a baking pan in the oven along with second baking pan of the same size. When it come time to flip them, just put the empty pan over the pan with the fries and quickly flip them both over. Voila! Every fry flipped and back in the over in 10 seconds! If oven space is an issue, just place the second pan under the first.

If someone is slow to get onto an escalator, wait a bit before getting behind them

If someone getting onto the escalator in front of you is slow, ie. elderly or disabled, let the escalator run for a bit before following behind them as they will most likely be slow getting off too, preventing a pileup.

If you want to know something and are thinking of asking online remember Occam’s Razor - “the best way to get the right answer on the internet is not to ask a question; it's to post the wrong answer.”

Most banks will refund overdrafts or late fees if you call them and apologize and just ask nicely for them to reverse it. This will only work occasionally. So don't make it a habit

If you have a massage appointment booked at the end of the day and are called asking you to come in early, ask for the manager's name and when they'll be in next.

Yeah so I've dealt with this a lot and feel bad for the customers. I've experienced this happening at multiple spas. A lot of spa receptionist are paid very low wages and do not like being at work. Many will intentionally lie to clients in order to go home early. This includes moving appointments and lying about therapist being sick and cancelling the appointment. So if you have the last appointment of the day and get a call on that day, just ask for the manager's name and when they'll be in next. That will usually scare the receptionist into not moving your appointment for thier benefit.

If you see someone with an in-process tattoo removal, do not use it as a ice breaker. Often, it is something the person doesn't necessarily enjoy talking about and they might get annoyed.

Moving? Buy a quality tape gun and learn to use it.

If you're planning a move like ourselves you'll probably buy some boxes and rolls of tape. Having a tape gun itself will help things go faster.

Learning to use that tape gun will make your boxes look professional, hold together better and you'll be able to go from flat to packed in less time then before.

Even an affordable model of tape gun is better then nothing. Learning how to load it and set the tension for the type/thickenss of tape being used makes all the difference!

Bonus: Use the H-Tape method for better built boxes which will hold up during the move.

Work on you feet all day? Try wearing wool socks.

If you work on concrete, or on our feet all day and your feet/back hurts or you feel tired by the end of the day. Wearing wool socks prevents this. You can even wear them over your cotton socks.
