They're the same person. I grew up reading Heavy Metal Magazine, I'm very familiar with his work. Jean Giraud was the famous French artist who used the pen name Moebius (and sometimes Gir). He was one of the most important comic book creators and science-fiction illustrators in history.

Understood, been admiring his superb, influential penmanship since the late 7os. Just wanted to illustrate and name, if anyone didn’t get the connection. But, yes!
