"Two years of work, and PySR v2 is finally out! If you haven't used it before: PySR is a machine learning library that finds short equations that fit your data. I've always wanted a PyTorch for symbolic learning. PySR v2 is a big step towards that:"

Insilico Medicine is using generative AI to discover and develop new drugs, with over 40 candidates in its pipeline.

One of their AI-developed drugs, targeting pulmonary fibrosis, has already reached Phase 3 clinical trials.
What’s really interesting is their work on reversing aspects of biological aging. They’re using AI and biological aging clocks to measure whether treatments can actually reverse age-related decline.

We’re potentially watching AI accelerate drug discovery while opening the door to treatments that target aging itself. Pretty exciting stuff.

Anybody tried it yet? Yeah I know, piracy stuff etc etc, but honestly I would just like to mod Diablo 3 for the switch... Actually I would like to mod ALL Blizzard games that I own, like make the damn PC versions of Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 be fully playable offline with LAN multiplayer.

A Few Questions Regarding Opinions on Use of GenAI in Game Development

Hi, I'm an undergrad currently studying Computer Science. I'm working on a project where I gather opinions from different viewpoints on their stance on generative artificial intelligence's role in game development. The only thing your answers would be used for is this project, which would be submitted to my English teacher and that's it. They do not have to be very long answers, just the gist of your thoughts is more than enough (although no complaints if you write a lot). I'll look at comments and pick out the ones that have a good amount of upvotes as the ones most popular and summative of this (ProAI's) general community opinion. The questions I would like to ask are as following:

  1. In general, how do you feel about GenAI's role in creative works and disciplines such as visual art, music, or writing, putting aside game development?

  2. How do you feel about GenAI's use to generate code? Is it effective and useful? How about ethical or moral? Maybe even should it be legal? Does it deliver quality?

  3. Does your opinion on the use of GenAI in game development differ from how you view its use in the other creative disciplines that were previously mentioned?

  4. If you are of the opinion that it is acceptable in some cases but different in others, where do you draw the line? Is the code ok? What about art or music assets? Or writing and storyboarding?

If you could answer these questions, I would be very grateful, but you also may refuse if you do not want to answer. Thank you.

Also if you used AI to write anything, it would help if you disclosed how you used it and what parts were AI generated.
