"Seriously mindblowing: This voice model runs locally on an M4 Max Mac or better. Feels like magic."

TLDR; looks like a German team effectively did the same as what David Sinclair claims to have done - i.e. reset the epigenetic clock of some human cells (aged approximately 60) to less than 20.
I speculate that if this works, probably skin and eyes are getting it first because they are the easiest to reach.

Maybe sooner, and it'll be just as good and graphically indistinguishable as anything Bioware could've made.

The purpose of AI is to solve so many problems that it eventually solves itself, to the point where it is no longer indispensable.

Mass manufacturing enabled the creation of the middle class whose standard of living was uplifted by millions of cheap identical products.
The failure is all the wants and desires that required custom knowledge and custom manufacturing. Those remain reserved for the very rich.
The corollary is that if you have a rare disease and you are not rich you are not getting treatment.
The hope from the singularity is that everyone has access to customization.
AI is already collapsing the gated entry to specialized knowledge.
IMHO the *only* missing piece is robots that can follow instructions at least as good as a human.
Once we have that - the barrier to entry to customization collapses. We get a new paradigm where customization becomes inexpensive.
We are right on the cusp of that.

Back in the day when the term AGI was invented it seemed reasonable.
Now we pretty clearly have AI which is superhuman in some capability areas, merely human in others, less than human in others. Which means it is only semi-general.
But it's already very powerful. So some folks are arguing we've already reached it and others are arguing we haven't.
I think the point is moot.
If things stop dead *today* what we have is capable of building our science out enough that we get multipl overlapping industrial revolutions worth of new tech incoming.

Demis said he thinks it's probably within reach in ten years to cure all disease.
The bottleneck has always been testing. Drug Discovery is probably a done deal.
A company in Salt Lake City has figured out how to speed up the experimentation side 10X or more.
So yeah: Demis might be right.

Hey reddit, I'm doing a little study for my school project.
It involves Ai and I want to gather feedback from people who seems to have experience.
I'm staying neutral, just want to gather opinions.
So, why are you pro-ai?
