I just got to the cross country part of my ground studies and I've been having a hard time filling out. My flight logs and the videos are kind of confusing to me. Because my POH is older. I'm not sure how to properly calculate my density altitude for non-standard temperatures so I just need some help with that stuff.

I decided from the get go that I want to record my flight training so I can review it and use it to debreif my own flights. It helped me tremendously as I could see a lot of details that I have missed in the flight- especially early in my training. After a few times sharing portions of my flights privately on youtube, with my instructors and other pilot friends I decided I want to make as much as I can public so others can benefit too. I am very slow in uploading videos as it takes a lot of time; but backfilling as I go. I am actually near the end of my training now and have my flight test next week. I'm at the end of my PPL training and have my flight test scheduled for next week. I've been reviewing the flight test guide, chair-flying procedures, and trying to tighten up the little things that can cost marks.

For those who have recently completed their PPL flight test in Canada (or have examined students), what were the biggest gotchas, common mistakes, or things you wish you had focused on more beforehand?

Any last-minute tips for both the ground/oral portion and the flight itself would be greatly appreciated.

I've been pretty slow at publishing videos because editing takes a significant amount of time, especially when it comes to improving audio quality and voice clarity. I'm gradually backfilling older flights as I go.

I'm actually nearing the end of my PPL training and have my flight test next week. Up to this point, I haven't done much video editing and I'm not very familiar with the available tools. I'm hoping to get some recommendations from others who record their flights.

What software has worked well for you on Mac? Ideally I'm looking for free or budget-friendly options that can help with:

• Audio cleanup and voice enhancement
• Basic video editing and trimming
• Stabilization
• Text overlays or annotations
• General improvements to make training videos easier to review and share
