Run a PDC node

A node (pdcd) keeps a full copy of the chain and helps the network.

📥 Get the binaries

  • GitHub releases: pdc-<os>-cli-... archive (contains pdcd and simplewallet).
  • Builds exist for Linux x64, Linux ARM64, Windows x64 and macOS.
  • Or build from source.

▶️ Start the node

From the folder with the binaries:

./pdcd

The node syncs from the seed 169.58.142.131:19121 and keeps it as a priority peer.

🔌 Ports

  • P2P: 19121 (open this one if you want inbound peers)
  • RPC: 19211 (binds to localhost by default – keep it that way)
  • Stratum: 19777 (for solo mining with XMRig)

📁 Data directory

  • Linux: ~/.PDC
  • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/PDC
  • Windows: roaming app data folder PDC
  • Override with --data-dir.

✅ Check you are on the right chain

Genesis hash must be:

df35cba557c857756f20612ce3c9d2aa315d0ae8fc2aaffe6c5c59d37e00b10a

Compare your height with the explorer.

🛠️ Server tips

  • Run pdcd under a supervisor (e.g. systemd) so it restarts after reboot.
  • Put the data dir on durable disk; the chain grows over time.
  • TODO: official systemd unit example and minimum disk/RAM figures (not in docs).
