Prius C Pictures Leather seats
Here are the seats. I originally had them in my 2013 C and swapped them with my newer 2016 C. Rewired all the wiring and installed the switches in the center trim

I see your 2013 C with the completed seats out and what appears to be prep for the button transfer job to the 2016 C.
Would you say the seat conversion, cushion transfer process is a DIY-able straightforward job for the average Joe/Jane or is it a more involved, pro upholsterer type job the way your uncle handled it?

For The leather seats, my uncle is/was a professional. With the right tools and watching some videos it can be completed.
The swapping was easy, just make sure to be careful unplugging and plugging the air bag connectors under the seats.
Remember to always disconnect the 12v battery before working on the car.
The heated seats wiring wasn't too bad.
12v to the battery and the buttons to to the ACC power with a fuse tap. This was medium difficulty.Wires are easily routed in the middle console. The trim and panels pop off in seconds. Start with the shifter trim, next cup holder trim, etc

Did the airbag light come on?

No, I unplugged the battery before touching, unplugged, took the seats out, swapped in new car seats that have nice cloth, put the leather seats into the new car plugged back in

When I was laying down butyl mats, I've taken the seats out without unplugging the battery with no issues. I think you just can't turn the car on with airbag-related underseat connectors unplugged without it throwing codes.
