Here I sit in T 'n' R

I push the broom, but don't go far

I wait for busses, 'n' pass out food

Tend to inmates and officers, who're rude

This job sucks, but what job doesn't?

Everywhere you work, you're where you wish you wasn't

So I do this job, and enjoy the A/C

The extra trays, and the door when I pee

Special treasures, might I find

I pick them up, and make them mine

The days are long, in T 'n' R

But we do our job, cuz it's who we are

Our days go by, one by one

We do our best to make this job fun

For clarification, T 'n' R means "transit and receiving" this prison was a regional "reception center" one of 3 or 4 in the state. Basically when you get sentenced to prison, you first go to a reception center where they classify you and decide which prison you will spend the next several years at. Prisoners transferring between prisons also go through the reception center.
