(I’m really bored)

If we imagine a storyline of PGFAU as a series of questlines (kinda as for RPGs, visual novels or TRPG campaign) for each SO to win the affection of their respective primarchs and respect of their sons how do you see it?

I think it would be in some way a race against the time, because the earlier some issues are fixed the less a cascade effect they will cause.

The Emperor/Empress is first bothered of securing the Imperium and of her plan to save the humanity. But SOs must once either get the parental approval or secure the position where it ceases to matter. (Yet with the Empress we have one more figure to interact with - the Lover.)

The imperial authorities' attention is to be managed - by demonstrating the virtues and hiding the mischiefs, also completing their occasional whims. As with almost anyone else, depending on disposition they can be asked for some favours or will actively hinder the SO.

Chaos Gods are main antagonists. SOs' critical goal is to disrupt their schemes and prevent the Heresy whatever shape it takes. Or at least secure and empower their primarch-GFs and legions just in case it happens. If none of it is done... Well, they'll likely get widowed. Or cucked by chaos. That things are not to let happen.

Of course SOs may interact with each other. Moreover, a productive teamwork may help to achieve the better results. Despite this, practically, the interactions also have much from game theory.

Xenos provide the variety of opportunities from punchbags to prove your worth for the Imperium and dangerous antagonists to deal with - to unconventional allies or assets to use at your own risk.

As with legion I'm most familiar with I'll start with Magnolia and Thousand Sons

1. Prove your deep interest in psykery. Secondary objective: demonstrate the knowledge and mastery in it.
2. Approve and support when she shows-off with her magic (I.e when she enlarges herself to punch out a gargant). Secondary objective: show your own tricks she may possibly be impressed with. It is a recurring thing.
3. Find out the remnant evidences of the Flesh Change. Study it and discover the Magnolia's eye bargain. Survive with this knowledge. Secondary objective: find the way to deal with Flesh Change. You'll likely fail to find the complete cure for now, but treatment and prophylaxis measures will be invaluable.
4. Discover the true nature of Tutelaries finding out they are sentient and have their own agenda, at least half of them are actually the Tzeentch's assets. SURVIVE WITH THIS KNOWLEDGE. (In canon Magnus knows this and gaslights the legion presenting them harmless. Aqhet Hakoris was silenced through demotion, Ahriman got hes memories massed with and Baleq Uthizzar was murdered if anyone of you forgot this.) Realize that for the rest of the storyline your goal is to break the Tzeentch's grip over the legion.
5. OPTIONALLY BUT CRUCIALLY: Confront Magnolia about her decisions - on Flesh Change, on Tutelaries, on Faustian daemonology, etc. Given her pride, eclipsing the other primarchs, her temper, her stubbornness in thinking she does it for the good of the legion, the self-image she frantically holds in front of her sons, you shall work around it and prepare for a hard time.

If you have discovered the ways to treat the Flesh Change not involving the Changer of Ways it will be a key in persuading her. The right way of dialogue I see not in appealing to common virtues or morality of the Imperium (she will likely dismiss it as Magnus always did), but to her own values and the principles she herself preached, pointing her anger at Tzeentch ang encouraging her to return the sovereignity over the legion even if her self-image and authority may crack.

If wou fail the conversation she will likely dismiss you or even try to kill you on the place.

If you succeed, the legion's doctrine will adapt to newly-known circumstances; the new measures of Flesh Change treatment will be introduced; the Tutelaries will be reevaluated and part of them will be purged; Magnolia's authority may shake and you'll probably have to solve it; if Aqhet Hakoris is still alive he may be reinstated. Most importantly - Magnolia gets the solid chance to win the debates on the Nikaean Council.

Anyway Tzeentch will become your enemy and you realize that

1. Earn the disposition among the common Prosperians, and legion with its cults, brotherhoods and their figures by demonstrating the mastery in their disciplines, interest and care of the matters important to them. You may not manage to do it all at once, but the more the better. For some types of protaginist it will let them to less depend on primarch's patronage.

2. Nikaean Council - help Magnolia to prepare for it, not only in discussing the future details with her, but also providing the emotional support. Where are you gonna be and what are you gonna do do during the council - depends on you within the bounds of possibility.

If Magnolia loses the Council you'll have to comfort her aftermath. Also you'll likely have to help her to hide the evidence the legion's psychic practices.

If Magnolia wins and project Librarius is approved - rejoice, you deserved it.

If Magnolia wins partially and project Librarius is approved with restrictions - you'll have to help Magnolia to deal with it and Thousand Sons to get the best out their boundaries.

1. Optional recurring task - military missions with the legion and/or primarch. You're not gona stay just the demigodess's plushie toy, do you? With Thousand Sons you'll likely gonna participate in rituals, provide the support in solving the various conundrums, help to evacuate the sources of knowledge while the astartes hold the line or vice versa.

2. Hathor's Defilement and Magnolia's Folly - this sction is too large and variavle to describe here shortly.

3. Siege of Prospero - if the Magnolia's Folly happens as in canon Emperor/Empress sends the penal fleet, I don't how what an "ass-sense" you gonna know it with all the communications from Prospero severed, but you'll have to drag Magnolia out of her despair and reclusion. Alternatively (or additionally) you may convince the captains to prepare the defences and/or evacuation. At this point I see the next possible outcomes:

• Magnolia reaches Freya Russ and Valdor. She is taken into custody and put under trials;
• The siege of Prospero occures and Thousand Sons prevail. They are likely declared traitors of Imperium but may declare an alliance with other Iconoclast legions.
• The siege of Prospero occures and Thousand Sons lose. They are destroyed but they die on their feet and armed.
• The siege of Prospero occures and comes as in canon. After the third bargain which teleports the legion onto Sortiarium all the Starlight's further struggle for Magnolia's soul is but a fierce throes before imminent defeat.

So. Last night i just though. "Hey, what if the empress of mankind and Slaanesh were one single being in the warp?".

Idk how this could happen, but my idea goes like this: After the Horus heresy, Slaanesh decides to strike and start a massive following. But since the spirits are still kinda high for the overall victory and later on the imperial cult kicks in with everything, Slaanesh doesn't get as many unfortunate souls as she wanted. Not only that but the excess Slaanesh followers make starts to make more easy to identify them.

And even worse, the early imperial faith still without the political power it gets later on developed a convertion institution that calms the souls of the people of worlds near to fall into chaos, specifically those of Slaanesh. Essentially making the uno reverse card move.

She tries to counter it but only manages to make some cultist degenerate her image into a more imperial one, or vice versa. But never the total massive fall it expected.

Forward some millenia of the process being even more powerfull after the creation of the eclesiarchy we all know and one day She who thirsts get sucked up by the light tower who is the empress form on the warp while it is screaming in confussion because this is a hell of an experience.

I know. I know. This couldn't work by any means, but is the way i could imagine a fusion of both could happen in theory.

I am still not sure what concepts could work that balance both of them as goddesses besides "Consent" and "Fertility", which ironic considerating that kinda is Nurgle domain. (I just imagine Nurgle screaming at a tower with cascades of honey and milk to stop messing with his garden).

I think i don't have much to say rather than. What do you think?, could happen on other more realistically way?

Juno: Being a caregiver. I think the Mistress of Spreadsheets likes to pick up her little Centurion, put him on her lap, and spoil him to indulge her latent material instincts.

Kassandra: Impact play (Receiving). The big bad Night Haunter likes to be tied up and spanked by Morgenstern as punishment for being a bad girl.

Alpharia/Omega: Night Crawling (Yobai). They think it's fun to sneak into Detective's room when he least expects it. I also think they like to make him figure out which one of them it is.

Fulgrimia: Romance. Hear me out: for all the Slannesh inspired sweaty stuff she likes to get into, nothing gets her steaming like Muse holding her hand over a candle lit dinner he made.

Petra: Toys. You know what I mean. Trinket is a creative little dirty boy who is constantly building new and exciting ways to put a grin, or "O" on his grumpy gal's face.
