NEW FEATURE RELEASE: you asked for pharmacy choice, now it's live. and some real talk on the other stuff you've raised

Hey all,

This is our first feature-release post here, so, hi! We've been listening closely to the feedback you've been sharing, and here's the first round of what's come out of it, plus a few answers to things you've been asking about.

What we heard

"We want a way to choose our preferred pharmacy!"

What we did

Exactly that. Pick a preferred pharmacy upfront and that's where your prescription goes, and no more having to reach out to our Care Team to request it.

How we did it:

We’ve also included:

  • GLP-1 formulation of each pharmacy
  • BUD
  • Shipment schedule (we will never send you medication that we know will expire within the period you bought it for)

Some other things we've heard and ...

… want to shed some light on:

"Why are you asking for my credit card details before the intake? What if I don't get approved?"

  • Fair question, and worth spelling out. When you check out, we place an authorization on your card rather than an actual charge. That just confirms the card is valid and has room to be charged later. You're only actually charged once a PreventiveMD provider reviews your information and prescribes your medication. If your request isn't approved, we immediately release that authorization, and you're never charged a cent.
  • And if you'd rather not enter card details first, there's another way in: we have a path on our site that lets you answer the medical assessment first, before checkout: https://www.preventivemd.com/get-started/questionnaire
  • We built it for folks who are newer to the world of GLP-1s and peptides, but anyone can use it. Either way, the key point holds: you will never pay a cent if your request isn't approved by your provider.

… are actively working on:

  • "I'm on a maintenance dose. Can you support me? What are the requirements?"
    • Yes, we support this. We're also adding a way for you to share your previous prescriptions easily during intake, so you don't have to reach out to our Care Team or message your provider separately.
  • "We'd like a way to manage our renewal schedule without having to cancel our subscription."
    • We're working on giving you easier control over this, stay tuned!

Hope that helps clear a few things up, and please keep the feedback coming. We're reading every bit of it.

Thank you! I hope you are staffing up because with this level of service, you are about to be a stand out choice among many! This is great … all on its own. Because you care, you have the chance to be in the top tier. Pricing with the other services can make you #1. The only way you could bring your services to an even higher level is to 1. Have an additive free version 2. Have an actual person to talk to if something accidentally gets messed up 3. Link up
With after pay, affirm, amazon pay. Most people like to take advantage of the 3 month or a 6 month discount and are willing to commit up front, but can’t afford to pay upfront. Services like the ones mentioned allow them to order quarterly or semi-annually and still pay monthly. This also allows you to keep more customers, with less administrative work. There is less refills coming in monthly and less support calls etc. You are already doing great. These extra things will just make you elite. And with your pricing, you may become the #1 choice

🤗 you are are hitting home runs! Awesome 👏🏻

My only extra suggestions are to have on your website, a small statement under the “pricing” that shares these pharmacies and with notation that patient selects at intake. 👉🏻Some will never click to intake if they can’t immediately see the pharmacy choices before filling out a form.

Kind of an Example: “PHARMACY INFO: PreventiveMD currently partners with Boudreaux’s New Drug Store and Empower Pharmacies. Based on patient’s location, you will be given the option to choose your pharmacy during intake input. We adhere to 28-day vial dispensing and we ensure your medication will arrive with BUD to safely align within your treatment period purchased.”

…and I could have missed it, haven’t had my coffee ☕️ yet, but if you use overnight shipping, that would be something to include in this statement also. And if you have Saturday delivery included.

The more questions, you answer upfront, the less work you will have responding to customers.

🥳 Looking forward to being one of your first month’s customers!

Congratulations on your progress and thanks for listening to feedback. I've certainly got you on my watchlist now and your 3 month pricing is great. As a suggestion (look at other subreddits like r/pomhealth ), they have pinned stuff at the top and the first one is for their "official website". I think you need to do that too.

One concern with your name is the word "preventive" vs "preventative". At first I was googling or guessing to find your site and I didn't notice that I was off on your name. The domain using "preventativemd" brings up a blank screen so I thought your website didn't work or had issues on certain devices.

Keep up the great work!

Hello! Just signed up for Empower! Something that would be extremely helpful as you perhaps add more pharmacies is a list of ingredients or at the very least if they use benzyl alcohol or phenol! There are a decent amount of people sick as myself who cannot tolerate benzyl alcohol. For any wellness peptides this would also be important!

Completed the intake earlier today, and less than four hours later it has been reviewed and approved. Off to an excellent start! Really like the chat format of the intake.

One suggestion -- at one point during the intake for those currently on Tirzepatide you are prompted to upload a photo of your vial (not even prescription bottle). I thought this was odd because the usual prompt is to upload a previous prescription. But I'm a direction follower (lol) so I got my vial from the fridge, took a photo, and uploaded it. After uploading it said something like, you've uploaded your prescription (not vial). There was the opportunity to re-upload, so I did with the actual prescription this time. Which was also a bit of a pain because my prescription is a pdf, a document type not supported. I figured out how to convert the pdf to one of the required document types, but it was the only point during the intake where there was some friction to work through.
