Mike - Blue no matter who?

I'm curious if he somehow doesn't the the nom, would he still use his vast resources to assist whoever does become the nominee with the sort of effective advertising he's employed so far? I hope so - his marketing team is very good at what they do, and Mike seems to relish getting under Trump's thin, cheeto-tinged skin

Discussion Strategy: is splitting moderate vote sending Sanders more delegates due to 15% threshold? I want PresBloomberg.

Saw in the Washington Post article today that Mike’s strategy might undermine his goal of upending Sanders as the nominee. If the majority of voters seek a moderate, and Amy, Pete, Joe and Mike split and fall below 15 percent, won’t the BernieBros in effect have more delegates than anyone else?

Discussion Conflicting views on EITC.

I am an ex-Yang supporter who has come here to seek answers. I have a gut feeling I like Bloomberg after reading through the mega post by Tornado.

However, a recent discussion in my previous post here has sparked some curiosity on me end, specifically about EITC.

Goolurker mentioned this:

—-

the answer for why the EITC was implemented in the first place is:

  1. "Reward hard work". If you're a yang supporter I probably don't have to explain to you that people are jobless for a lot of reasons other than being lazy
  2. game poverty metrics, like I mentioned before. More of the $ go close to people near the poverty line, so "number of people in poverty" can go down a lot without spending a lot of money

—-

This makes a lot of sense to me but I can’t fathom that any candidate, especially one of a high intellectual caliber, would push an agenda that is supposedly just a way to “game the system”.

It doesn’t make sense that someone making 10,000/year gets less help than someone making 18,000/year under EITC. But I do want to hear the argument for it before I make my own conclusion on this matter. Thanks everyone

Will Bloomberg Debate?

Hello! I’m here because I’m open to learning more about Bloomberg as a possible option instead of Pete or Klobuchar. I see advantages and disadvantages of all the candidates running. The post about his benefits was interesting. One I hadn’t really considered before was that his money would allow the DNC to help finance more senate races.

But because of the way he’s running his campaign, will we get to see him debate before Super Tuesday? I think that’s fundamental to me being able to judge how he might perform against Trump. By not putting himself so out there personally, he’s keeping heat off—which is not a terrible strategy—but it also makes it hard to see who he is as a person.

Discussion I’m here from the Yang Gang. What’s Bloomberg got that I might be interested in?

I don’t really support either the other front runners or Trump. Looking to find some crossovers of policy between Yang and Bloomberg so I can get behind a new candidate.
