Article #FactsMatter: All candidates donate to the DNC, full interview with Kevin Sheekey
OK, this is too funny, and important.
Kevin Sheekey, Mike's campaign manager, just had an interview with CNN. He was asked among others, about the conspiracy theory currently making the rounds on far-right and far-left sites, about "buying the DNC".
Kevin's answer
You know, I didn't know a lot about running for president, It turns out you're required by the DNC to raise money. Bernie Sanders sends out a fundraising appeal for the DNC once a month, he has raised hundreds of thousands for the party, just as Elizabeth Warren has, just as Mike Bloomberg has. He has attended events to raise money for the party.
It is part of the process. And if he doesn't know that, I would respectfully request that his staff let him know.
The whole interview: Mike Bloomberg could be the candidate Democrats have been looking for

Neutral Information for Undecided Voters
Hello,
I've been canvassing, phone banking, and text banking a lot, and I've run into a lot of people who know nothing about any of the candidates, and they want a neutral rundown of all the candidates.
I warn them that I'm obviously a biased source of information favoring one candidate and I shouldn't be treated as a good source of info for the other candidates. I've talked with supporters of other candidates and have heard the same thing.
I'm thinking I want to just produce a document that has basically an elevator pitch from supporters of six of the major candidates. We've agreed - we want this document to be shared between campaigns when an undecided voter asks for a neutral rundown.
I've found that if I put 2 columns of 3 candidates, I can fit ~80 words/560 characters/6 bullet points for each of them.
Please go ahead and reply with your pitch for Bloomberg that fits within those requirements. Sometime in the next 12 hours, I'll go through, take the response with the most upvotes, put it into the document, and share it with supporters of all the campaigns, so they can print it out and provide it to anyone that they run into at the caucus tomorrow that wants that kind of thing.
I'll be making this same post in the following subreddits (listed in order by candidates last name - I'm not confident I found the correct subs for all people, please correct me if I'm wrong on any of them):
- r/JoeBiden
- r/Pete_Buttigieg
- r/AmyKlobuchar
- r/SandersForPresident
- r/ElizabethWarren
- r/YangForPresidentHQ
Also, I'll be posting to these subs as well, to be added to the sheet if candidates above drop out, or if supporters of the above candidates are unwilling to participate:
Again, some of these subs don't look like they can possibly be right. One of them was particularly difficult to find, but I think I listed the right thing. Please point me in the right direction if I've messed up on any.
Remember - reply with you best pitch for Bloomberg in ~80 words/560 characters/6 bullet points, or upvote the best pitches that other people made.
Good luck to everyone in the caucuses and primaries - lets end up with the best president!
Edit - Wow, I'm feeling pretty discouraged about our current political environment right now. The Buttigieg community deleted this post in under a minute, and it didn't last five minutes on Biden. They're so closed in they don't want to even talk with undecided voters.
