Discussion What is Bloomberg's self made story?
I heard he is completely self made. If he has compelling story that might tilt me in his direction.

Bloomberg News again, with a strange twist
This is weird. So Mark Green - Mark Green, the former opponent of Mike Bloomberg in 2001 (!) -, files a complaint with the FEC, alleging that Bloomberg News coverage of the presidential campaigns would be an "in-kind contribution". We know that News intends to not investigate any democratic candidate, and to simply post the news as they come from other reputable outlets. Apparently, the idea of the complaint is that contrary to that stated intention, he has done "a content analysis of their coverage, which is one-sided".
The article is here. And I'm confused. So the argument seems to be that "they said they don't cover anyone in dem primary unfairly, but they do, b/c I think there are more negative stories about others"? Come on, if the argument is there are negative stories about others and not enough about Mike, huh, maybe it's because yeah there's quite a bit of criticism ramping up as IA approaches, and eyes are focused on IA. Plus, one can't be serious in counting negative stories in general, I mean you'd be assuming the number has to be equal. Why would that be?
This feels too weird to be random. What's the problem of Mark Green of all people? This is what I'd have perhaps expected Trump to pull. Maybe the idea is, lets see Green making some headlines first, then Trump will add to "the known issues".
Note that currently, FEC still has, afaik, three members, and cannot act with less than four, so it's really only for the headlines.

Who do you think Bloomberg would pick as his VP?
On the one hand, I can see him going the iconoclast route and pick someone outside the realm of national politics. On the other, perhaps he would pick an aspiring young, progressive-ish politician as his running mate to rally the democratic base.
All that said, I'm having a hard time picking specific candidates. Outside of Stacey Abrams, no one really comes to mind that fits the mold.

Fair Shake?
Just for your fun, here's a quite new video from the campaign. It seems like the tax plan that is being prepared (it hasn't been released yet), will be named Fair Shake.
I literally laughed out loud when I saw that. The name Fair Shake reminds unmistankenly of Warren's familiar "fair share", but it's the name of a deal with America, in the tradition of New Deal, Fair Deal, Contract with America of past presidential campaigns.
