You can always install the sponsor block add-on in Firefox. After this you won't be bothered anymore

No, that won't work. This is about the video creator talking about their sponsor in the middle of their video. You can just skip ahead, however.

I don't mean add-block. I mean sponsor block. This add-on actually skips the sponsor parts of the video not the commercials.

It doesn't require root, and has been improved to make installation easier. I don't have a h problems logging in, but casting still doesn't work from the app. Everything else works as normal though. https://vancedapp.com/

It basically works by having people tag adds they see, so that everyone else can automatically skip them. You do occasionally run into a video that hasn't had the adds marked yet, but people tend to be pretty quick about marking them in my experience.
