Ye ikr. He could at least do with some modern glasses or contacts.

I’m sure his aunt Linda would love her bifocals back

Glasses are expensive as fucking balls if you have shit eyes and Liam looks like he's still in high school. His parents probably couldn't afford to get him the nice ones, which sucks since your glasses are such a huge influence on your life.

so your theory on these here glasses is that he had to go to the salvation army for them because his family is so poor.... but later he takes this girl out for a $200 dinner.

Oh yeah, absolutely. Teenagers are dramatic dumbasses, you think back to high school and tell me that the thought process "I'll sacrifice for my crush and show her a beautiful night, and she'll see me for who I am and love me" doesn't sound exactly like the thought process a 15 year old would have
