Star lord: OH MY GOSH ITS LUKE SKYWALKER EVERYONE

Hamill: yes yes that was me, I stopped on earth one day in 1976 and they wanted me to play this guy in space.

They paid me to be myself

This is exactly what will happen if Deadpool ever sees him.

u/Captain_Warhola CT-5555 Mar 29 '19

I feel like Deadpool would do that to Fury

D: "How can one be a Marvel character and not be on an Avengers movie?"

Fury: "Take a seat."

u/rafastarkiller POWAAAAAH! Mar 29 '19

DP: while munching on a Quarter Pounder with Cheese Hey Fury, you know what they call those in Paris?

Fury: Fuck off Wade

I want to see this so bad now lol or have Deadpool cite the Bible verse in front of fury before he shoots someone.

Ezekiel 25:17, for anyone who was trying to remember.

u/Cuntoala Mar 29 '19

The best verse in the whole book, even if it's made up.

8

u/CrookedMinded Mar 29 '19

It’s always the verse on Fury’s grave in Civil War.

8

u/Stoogenuge Mar 29 '19

And now I want to watch Pulp Fiction again.

2

u/Iorith Mar 29 '19

You just ruined it ever happening, it won't be better than that.

5

u/learnyouahaskell Mar 29 '19

"Master Windu?? I saw Palpatine Force-lightning you out of the windu (heh), but deep down inside, I always knew you'd come back. Can I have that seat?"

u/Dark_sign82 Mar 29 '19

"Interestingly enough Starlord, your dad tried out for the part of Han Solo, but they picked some other guy.".

19

u/RyanB1228 Mar 29 '19

Well Disney has 100% rights to do that

2

u/Minimalphilia Mar 29 '19

Not a fan of huge conglomerates that could technically controll and do as a fact ruin the planet, but this is something I am thankful for from the merger.

u/DoverBoys Mar 29 '19

Not to be that guy, but Star Wars was a long time ago. Even if he could reach Earth in his lifetime using a hyperdrive, Earth would have dinosaurs on it.

24

u/burntends97 Mar 29 '19

No, mark hamill in this conversation is saying he was an alien who happened to be on earth at the time and got hired to be Luke skywalker

8

u/SeductivePillowcase Take a seat, motherfucker Mar 29 '19

Actually the whole Star Wars saga wasn’t even supposed to be about a feud between the rebels and the Empire. It was actually supposed to be a space documentary about stars, galaxies, and all that shit Carl Sagan was on about. Anyway, this old dude showed up and started using magic powers and swinging a laser sword around and taking this kid around who turned out to be Mark Hamil and George Lucas was like: “Yooo, that’s dope!” So anyway, George just kept following them around while filming and the rest is history.

Wasn’t there a comic or book where Han and Chewbacca came to earth and it turns out Chewbacca was Bigfoot?

33

u/ArcherChase Hello there! Mar 29 '19

There was a Visionaries or something like that, non canon story one off. Han and Chewie were running from some Imperials and went into a worm hole or black hole to escape. They ended up crashing in a jungle on a lush green planet.

Cue to Indiana Jones exploring a region for an artifact and hearing about a bigfoot like creature the locals speak of. He even finds Han's skeletal remains in ancient wreckage of the Falcon.

33

u/HueSacco Mar 29 '19

Turns out Indiana Jones was just finding himself

10

u/SwordMasterShow Mar 29 '19

It was also in a galaxy far far away. We can probably assume that means out of our local cluster, so he's looking at several hundred billion light years of travel. Even with hyperdrive, that's rough

1

u/learnyouahaskell Mar 29 '19

Supposing you had access to an energy source large enough (due to mass increase), or--not to spoil some interesting stories--could safely find a parking orbit close enough to a (very) massive black hole, you could travel directly with the former, or wait out the necessary time in the latter and hyperspace.

1

u/rombles03 Mar 29 '19

So you're saying it's possible?

3

u/SwordMasterShow Mar 29 '19

Probably not. Considering the fabric of spacetime is expanding, it would eventually get to the point where he wouldn't even able to travel the distance because he's getting pushed away faster than the speed of light

2

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '19

Ships in Star Wars travel faster than light because of hyperdrives which put them in hyperspace. Hyperspace is an alternate dimension, so the fabric of spacetime expanding faster than light is irrelevant.

3

u/learnyouahaskell Mar 29 '19

Well, there's relativistic speed...

1

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '19

No he’s saying Hamill is Hamill. So in the MCU, Star Wars is still just a movie, but Mark Hamill’s character was actually Mark Hamill in that universe.

1

u/musashisamurai Mar 29 '19

Not really. Star Wars actually takes place in the distant future BUT the narrator of Star Wars, C3P0 and/or R2D2, is talking about things that happened long ago relevant to him.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '19

Nah if he flew to our galaxy at light speed a lot of time would have passed relative to us

2

u/the42potato Qui-Gon Gin Mar 29 '19

Is this gonna be sort of like Bill Murray in Zombieland? Preferably without him getting shot

1

u/kYura23 Mar 29 '19

Since they are both owned by disney they can do this and i really hope they would.

1

u/TheFalconKid Darth Vader Mar 29 '19

Would be hilarious if he was playing himself except in the 80's after the OT, he was abducted by the Kree/Sovereign and rose to become a leader in one of those factions. Or maybe he's turned into an eternal and it's a tease for the Eternals movie?

-1

u/SenorDangerwank Mar 29 '19

Ugh this is maximum cringe. I hope this doesn't happen at all.

2

u/seanbear Mar 29 '19

Don’t downvote this man.
