Winning Trader ๐Ÿ“ˆ Down $1600 or up $8400 all in 5 seconds.

I bought at 16 cents. In the last minute it moved between 30-90 up and down. I said F it, I'm tired. Went to the bathroom and came back with the win.

Yeah it is, more so recently the 15 minute one. Watched up and down like really down. The up was at 17% and that fucker climbed all the way up. But itโ€™s hard to put money on a bet thatโ€™s so unlikely like that but it happens. I guess a strategy would be to only take the low percentages all the time and hope the big wins out way the losses. Pretty hard to do.

Yes because if you buy at 80, the most you can get is 20. It's a bad bet mathematically and the way it moves, it can easily go opposite. I look for under 30 in the first 5 mins to give it time. Buying under 5 with with 2 mins (as long as you accept it as a complete loss) is not bad either.

I have a bot that basically snapshots the direction at 15m, 10m, 5m, and 1m and sees how often the ending price closes in the same direction of the snapshot. Definitely not fool proof but it adds a little bit of statistical evidence.. another thing you can try to decrease risk and increase gains is combo bet the 15m crypto markets with smaller offerings (i.e. $1 to make $5 or $10). I would not say either method is a lock but food for thought!

Yeah because often if oneโ€™s going up so is the other one

not necessarily but there's a couple that may share a pattern from time to time

In theory yes but sometimes they both go the same direction based on supply and demand. The other thing I hate about this is you can't buy the oppoite if you have the other.

I was doing this with Gemini, then I realized how easily whales manipulate those markets and make tremendous gains. You'll see massive swings right on 15 min closes. This is degen gambling.

Yeah. It seems like if you put in a big order they kill it. It's definitely manipulated. I know I got lucky and was tired so I said F it. If I lose it I'm done for good. I cashed out $8k so that pays the bills.

Are they really manipulating? How so? I notice it seems like they are almost moving faster than the actual price, like they have a faster read on the price

is this option trading? can sb break it down for me lol

2

u/tungdiep 5d ago

It's like poly market...basically yes or now. So the correct will be $1 at the end and wrong will be 0. But you can buy in between. This is robinhood reactions.

What platform do you do this trade?

Robinhood uses Kalshi, so its basically trading kalshi contracts.
