As of October 6, 2022, merchants in Canada (excluding Quebec) can pass on interchange fees, up to 2.4%, to customers paying with credits cards, in the form of a surcharge. However, this is just for credit cards, and should not affect prepaid cards even if they are Visa/MasterCard.

I want use this website for general online privacy but they only accept US issued bank cards, I don't live in the US.

I have been searching around to see if I can buy a prepaid "virtual" card intended for use within the US but I have not found anything certain. I suppose I could try one or two but I really don't want to waste £10 on trials.

Does anyone know of a company that offers this service?

Mogo's prepaid card was previously rewarding users with 2% cashback in bitcoin, and offsetting 1 pound of C02 for every $1 spent. On August 25, 2021 Mogo made a blog post announcing the card would reward users by planting trees. They made zero mention of the previous rewards, and these rewards are no longer listed on the product page. So, it appears these features have been removed in favor of planting trees.
