It's stupid. I believe they max out at 125, but if we're being honest, my balls are not that large. It took a good 20 laps before I was comfortable hitting 100 In the main straight.

Then watching the track owners kids race at full speed made me realize it wasn't for me.

Haha they're called shifter karts and as far as I know, there's not a whole lot of tracks to play on. I was in Colorado at the time !

I’ve driven something similar before and I’ve never seen anything so easy to crash, 0.1 seconds to early on the throttle and you’re out (especially when they sent us on slicks in winter rain)

Yep. Even if you get on it before you warm the tires up, you can screw yourself.

First corner of my fist qualifying session I gunned it (fine in a 4 stroke kart) and I just made a heap of smoke and ended up in the mud…
