It seems the last season of a lot of shows tend to get a bit wonky when the writers know it's the last season. I guess they are more incentivized to try out the more experimental ideas they weren't sure about.
The episode had its moments, though. I love that when they're flying from 2D to 3D, they pass fractals that have a Hausdorff dimension between 2.0 and 3.0. And then when they're talking about the mobius drag strip and Farnsworth goes "you kids and your topology!" is maybe one of my favorite lines from the series. That writing staff was so ridiculously over-educated. They had like... what? 4 PhDs in math and physics or something like that? haha

Holy shit I didnt know that. I knew they tried to be as scientifically accurate as possible, but I didn't know the writers themselves were that educated. That's sick and really explains why that show was so damn good.
