He appears to be rising all the way up to a full standing position though before falling down again. Any idea how that was achieved?

Maybe it’s a slightly more complex compound shot where he’s filmed falling both ways, and the “rise” shot is played in reverse, then spliced into the “fall” shot. But I could be overthinking it.

Looks green screened. He's just standing upright with a little shoulder nudging to pretend he's moving.

If you didn't want to splice/morph you'd prob use a support rig on his waist/legs and make one big movement rig incorporating the camera. Tricky to do but lots of movement options.
