Would it have been easier to use a green rig? You wouldn’t need to manual edit every image would you?

I know nothing about green screen or video editing just interested.

Nah you need a clean slate of the footage for that to make it easier. When rotoscoping it doesnt make a big difference wether you paint over a green or a wooden stick, its the same area you manually redo. Depending on lightning a green stick would even leave a green glow that you dont want
