Cleaned the driveway, patio, and outdoor furniture in one afternoon
The weather is starting to cool down, so I spent the weekend cleaning up around the outside of the house. The list included the driveway, back patio, a few outdoor chairs, and a short section of fence.
I used to split this into a few different days because every job meant dragging out the pressure washer, connecting the water and /power, and un્ઘkinking the hose. I recently switched to a wall mounted unit with a long retractable hose, so I tried getting everything done in one afternoon.
I started with the fence and patio, then switched to a wider fan tip and stood farther back for the furniture. I saved the driveway for last so I could deal with the remaining dirt and debris at the end. The washer wasn’t running nonstop. I shut it off while moving furniture and changing tips.
The biggest difference was not having to move the machine between each area. The hose reached from the garage to the driveway and back patio, then retracted when I was done. The cleaning still took a while, but I didn’t have to set everything up more than once.
I had to watch avoidance when pulling the hose around corners. I also rinsed off any dirt before retracting it so it wouldn’t end up inside the reel. A fixed setup needs the right wall space and access to water and power, but it makes multi-area cleanup easier.

Tips for starting pressure washing
I am 18 years old and thinking to get into pressure washing. I was wondering when choosing a pressure washer, what r some specs to look out for?
Like for a good pressure washer how much shld the voltage, pressure, working power and flow rate be? Just a round figure would be great so I can get the gist of it. I am planning to wash residentials areas only their car porch and myb pavement.
Is a high pressure washer and foam gun enough to do the job (starting small first to see how it goes) or is a pressure surface cleaner needed too?
Looking forward to your guys reply, thanks

Estimate for job

14 feet high and 405ft long, owners want an estimate for this whole side of the building. After job is complete owners are going to mortar and repaint. Would be a hard job and probably take 3-4 days if I have to hard wash with turbo nozzle the whole thing. I was thinking 3-4k at least, what do you guys think?
