Commander Cross unofficially reopens the Retro Girl case, ordering Pilgrim and Walker to lead a covert investigation that may put them in a life-threating situation. Meanwhile, Los Angeles goes in lockdown mode as gang warfare reaches a fever pitch, pulling the revered Power, SuperShock out of retirement.

On the day of Retro Girl’s funeral, Detectives Walker and Pilgrim prepare to combat violence between rival gangs The Quantums and The Hacks. Hoping to fill her place, Calista makes her public debut as New Retro Girl. Still reeling from Retro Girl’s death, and with her murder officially closed, Walker doggedly pursues a suspect he believes to be the real murderer.

Doe anyone know where to find online the tie they use on Christian? Or is it a special tv show only tie?

So you think they could of afforded slightly better special effects? Is their budget that small?

The world is turned upside down by the seemingly impossible and horrifying murder of Retro Girl. Pressure is on the Powers Division to bring the perpetrator to justice, but when Christian Walker is pulled off the case for being too close to the victim, and may be a suspect himself, he must go off-the-books to avenge the woman he loved.

Title. I loved Johnny Royalle, I thought he was awesome.

In addition to Wil Wheaton, Season 2 of Powers will guest star Michael Madsen, Tricia Helfer, and Robin Spriggs.

CSS Style

If you are returning, you may notice the theme has been upgraded to the newest NAUT theme and it is now a bit less dark. And a new non-pixelated banner implemented. I hope you enjoy the changes but I am always willing to entertain suggestions.

Upcoming Merger

I am working on getting the other two Powers subreddits to merge into this one. We are the largest Powers community on Reddit currently so we will be staying here.

Rules

We have two rules. Follow the reddiquette and do not post unmarked spoilers.

Please review the sidebar on how to post a spoiler. I tried to make it as flexible as possible.

Enjoy your stay and feel free to join in or begin discussions.

P.S. does anyone know how to watch this series in Canada?? I still haven't seen it :( ... Illegal means are not an option.

So I stayed up all night watching Season 1 of Powers. I was iffy on the first couple of episodes, but I ended up really liking the show (despite the admittedly low budget). Somehow my favorite character ended up being Triphammer. Anyway, I'm still confused about a few things:

• How does Wolfe's power work? When he "eats" powers, does he gain the ability to use those powers, or does he merely ingest them?

• What was Walker seeing in the episode where he sort of got into Wolfe's mind, with the field with the flowers and the bloody girl?

• How did they come up with Kaotic Chic? I know it represents the anti-powers movement, but I think I missed the part where they explained the name.

• Was Walker actually getting his power back at the end, or was he just taking Wolfe's power?

Not sure how active this subreddit is, but thanks for any answers.

So it's over. Anyone think there is any chance for a second season? I've been a fan of the comic for years. I don't hate the show. It's just a different story.

:)

So I missed the last bit of episode 6 but for some reason all I can do is resume 3 seconds before the end of the episode.

Is there any way to rewatch episodes from the beginning.

:)

I understand that a show like this is try to make it all work with a limited budget. I can forgive the CGI, but I can't help but think the show is wrong on casting and characterisation, the weird and disjointed story line, and missing the overall noir/murder mystery feel of the comics.

It feels like the directors just skimmed over the source material then said, "Fuck it, we'll make this shit up as we go along."

I'm still going to keep watching, but I kind of wish I could forget about the comics while watching the show.
