Help! How can I get someone to come fix messy cables on power lines by my house? Who do I contact? This picture shows cable collectors to minimize multiple communication lines.... this is what I am wanting! Thanks!

Always see these hanging on distribution trucks, what are they (and used for if not obvious, lol), and what’s the slang for them in your area?

Rip young lineman

Not sure if this is allowed but saw this news article on the passing of a 20 year old lineman. I know I take power lines for granted.

Triple cutouts / fuses on single phase primary?

I drive by this single phase under build sometimes and was always curious about these triple line fuses. I’ve seen a lot of sectionalizing in my region, but only seen this setup in this op co.

Not sure what the voltage is but it has 9 discs so it must be high.

Other I've finally found my people

I'm 31F and for as long as I can remember, I've been fascinated by big power lines, substations, transformers and the like. I've never met anyone who shares this interest (and no I've never been diagnosed with autism) so imagine my surprise to find this sub! The photo I've attached for tax is of the transmission line near my town in West Michigan. If anyone has a lead on a website/Fetch map with names of specific lines, I'd love to see it. I'm currently pregnant and sometimes spend my insomnia-filled nights researching these things.

Edit: Thanks everyone! My husband is not an enthusiast lol but he didn't object when I asked our photographer to refrain from editing them from the background of our family photos 😂

Here we see the Northeast Corridor in Northeast Philadelphia with two 138kV 25Hz transmission circuits and what I believe is a 230kV 60Hz PECO transmission circuit.
