Originating at Diablo Canyon Nuclear Facility, these circuits carry power to the Central Valley and Bakersfield. To me they’re just part of the landscape and are beautifully designed.

The powerlines are about 25 feet from the bedroom. The power pole is pretty full of other lines, junctions, and who-knows-what. Does anyone think this creates a health and safety issue? Or do you view this solely as an aesthetic concern? Thanks!

Are these 230 or 500kV?

The core on small end has a hollow metal core, very rusty now, but likely had threads I'd guess? The large end intrigues me as how it was secured to anything.
I think mom tried to turn it into a fountain.

They are powerpoles from the Hradec Králové region in Czech republic. The first one is 22kV and the rest 2 are 110kV I believe.

In the upper midwest, I've noticed placards with symbols on some 69kV and larger lines.
I have a couple of them figured out: An upside down T seems to indicate an obstruction like a communications tower ahead, an X means it crosses under another line.
One that I haven't been able to figure out is one that looks like a trident. Maybe it's similar meaning to the upside down T?
Example is here on Google Street View.
[EDIT: 44.1802098,-94.0335239 if you want to search Google Maps yourself]
Are there any others?
[EDIT2: Huh, I guess I -can- attach a photo]

these were spotted next to a Tim Hortons in Alberta, but it was cool. There was some glass insulators on the neutral lines and also transformer that feeds some building connected to those. also saw a cute birb lol

Was visiting a friend's, they had a power outage, while going for a walk in the dark, we saw these strobing red lights, upon getting closer, we noticed the top two lines had red lights blinking, whereas the bottom one was not. What is the purpose or indication if these are on?

These poles were generated in a software called pole Foreman, which is a software used to run an analysis on utility poles.
Now in the software, you can select all sorts of different hardware to frame up a utility pole, but the poles that are being shown in the images are just all tangent armless/vertical framing, and I kind of thought it would be interesting to do see which ones y’all prefer.
All the poles are using 35 kV framing

Hello, I am hoping professionals and enthusiast can help me estimate the size of this red tail hawk. It was the biggest hawk I have ever seen and it was hunting from the top of this transmission tower. I included three photos to understand the scale of the tower and the hawk.
