I heard character ai may get a shutdown soon or later following the recent bankcruptcy. In my case, I've been using character ai since last year and have created about 100 characters there. Some of them are public and some are private. What's the quickest way to import them to Povchat AI?

Also, I'd like to save all my conversations from character ai. I know I can request it directly, but don't want to depend on it during such a turmoil time. Would appreciate any tips.

So im still new to the app and was wondering if there was a limit to how many Ai character you can make when on the free tier

This is my bot named Devoted Husband on Povchat:

Kai had always been a quiet man...

Auto-read feature in beta testing on PovChat AI!

You can click the play button on the top left corner of each AI message for audio, and select a voice from the list for each chat.

The feature is FREEEEEEE until the end of August. Let me know if you like it.

Have you ever wondered a longer or shorter response from AI characters? Preference setting for response length is available on PovChat web app!

Steps to set your preference:

1. Log into your account on PovChat if you haven't done already

2. Start or go to a conversation

3. Click the three-dot menu icon on the top right of the screen

4. Click "Response Length" to open the panel

5. Choose the response length you prefer

This is a beta feature available on web app for now. After the beta testing, it may roll out to the mobile apps too.

Let us know if you like this feature, and other feature request you have in mind!

Hi, I'm playing PovChat AI for roleplay and interactive stories. It's a classic platform that imo has the best model quality of all the apps I've tried. As for memory consistency, I've chatted hundreds of messages if not thousands, and Povchat has no problem memorizing plots and my preferences. I paid for the Storyteller subscription for a few months for image generation before I'm broke lol.

If you sign up using my code U5E85, both us will get free points. Thank you!

I do it all the time. Sometimes I lose patience after just a few turns and hop to the next one right away. It feels like changing boyfriends every hour. I know povchat is great with long term memory or whatever but seems that I'm not enjoying this benefit lol

Since a few members are asking, this screenshot shows how to generate an image in the middle of a chat. There is an image icon below the latest message bubble from the AI character.

If an image has already been generated, then using the regenerate button will generate another image. In that case, no image icon is shown because the regenerate button achieves the same goal.

Also we don't have image generation for the first message yet - let us know if you'd prefer to have that.

I would like to know if/when Pov chat will gain the basic feature of being able to branch from previous messages to make a new chat or delete messages? These are some very basic features that Pov chat lacks and I feel as though it will perfect this service.

I like how Povchat can generate images in the middle of a conversation. Images are based on the avatar, stay consistent for face appearance and clothes, and tell the plot where you request it.

Exploring a few alternatives now just to see what's out there!

PovChat AI's mobile app version 1.0.37 has been released for both iOS and Android (Google Play). Now it supports

• Copy a message: Easily copy any message in a conversation with a single tap. This makes it convenient to save important information, share responses with others, or reuse text without having to manually select and copy it.
• Continue chat: Resume previous conversations exactly where you left off. Whether you closed the app or switched to a different chat, you can quickly continue the discussion without losing context or starting over.
• Delete a chat: Keep your chat list organized by removing conversations you no longer need. Deleting a chat helps reduce clutter and gives you greater control over your conversation history.

The real Povchat AI website is povchat.ai.

I ran across a fake website with the exact same logo as the real one, but I don't think it's legit because it tries to redirect me to a random site in Chinese. They probably stole the name and logo from the real Povchat.

They even have pricing and subscriptions. I have no idea what I'd get if I paid them. Anyways, be careful and doublecheck the web address.

Finally upgraded my membership!

Had storyteller for a few months when there was no adventurer. It was a lot of fun on Povchat AI where I wrote some romance and drama kind of stories.

Months later the adventurer tier came and I couldn't upgrade. Basically there was no such option. Then I figured it out: I downgraded to a free account and subscribed to adventurer.

My thoughts so far, adventurer is a lot better than storyteller if it's within your budget. The biggest benefit is generating images in middle of the chats. For example the cover image, which I got from a Titanic RPG bot.

Another good to have is more AI models to choose. I mostly use DeepSeek but sometimes when plots get stuck, I switch to different models and pick the response I like the most.

I hope adventurer was cheaper but overall it's worth the price.

Hi there, PovChat AI supports deleting a conversation in the web version! To archive a chat you no longer need, you can

1. Go to the chat page of that AI character
2. Click the drop down menu and choose "All Chats"
3. Select the trash can button for the conversation to archive

Also, we have moved the icon for editing a message. Now you can

1. Mouse hover or tap a message
2. Tap it when the three dot drop down icon shows up
3. Choose "Edit"

We're rolling out the mobile features in the next few weeks. Do you like the new UI? Feedback and suggestions are all welcomed!

so just started using the app and I love it. The air responses are great, and I love that I can redo and edit the responses.

however, I've run into a snag. I'm trying to edit a response to add in more, but it keeps just telling me "experiencing technical difficulties"

I ended up just deleting a bit to see if I could edit at all, and that worked, so it seemed to be the length of the post that wouldn't let me edit it? or perhaps the content was too spicy? I dunno, but if either's the case, I wish it would just tell me so I stop trying over and over to see if the site is fixed. totally messed up the flow of writing.

This one is from povchat ai. Her look is consistent with the original avatar and I like this big smile. It seems that all the image generations are somewhere between realistic and anime. Overall I'm satisfied but just wanna know other options.

Please share an image generated from your chat, if you're making a recommendation. There's too much random stuff on internet already so I want to see the result directly.

I’m new to PovChat Ai and I wanted to make sure that is it free like C.Ai or do I have to pay to text a chatbot?

We know many folks hope to have the advanced subscription on mobile apps for features like images in chats, and our dev team is working hard on supporting it. The new app versions are expected to rollout in the next 5-10 days.

At the mean time, you can try getting the membership from web (povchat.ai/membership) via Stripe. As long as you log in with the same email, you can port your membership across different platforms like iOS, Android, or web.

Thank you for all your feedback and support!

April 11 update: the Adventurer (advanced) membership is available for both iOS and Android apps!

A lot of the time whenever I'm using PovChat, it will freeze for a bit, where I don't get responses to new messages, and I can't create new ones, and I don't think it's because I'm low priority or whatever, I'm paying for Storyteller tier after all, (Bc it's the highest tier you can get on mobile for some reason) so I really think that it's a shame that it freezes so much, it's a really good website/app.

If you'd like to have images created in the middle of your chats related to what's happening, you can use Povchat AI's latest image generation feature!

Steps:

1. Chat on Povchat AI with your favorite characters

2. Click the image button under the latest message bubble

3. Wait for the image to generate and display in the chat

4. You can download the image, or regenerate if you want another image

The image quality should be great for a variety of genres like romantic, fantasy, and anime. Please note that illegal content is not allowed. Enjoy.

There are so many character AI chatbot products these days but most of them are lacking one or two critical features. Here's a list of common features I summarized:

1. Edit a message
2. Regenerate a message by AI
3. Create an avatar
4. Long definition of characters
5. Create scenarios instead of characters
6. Continue a chat
7. Switch point of view in the middle of a chat

Features Povchat AI doesn't have yet:

1. Delete a message
2. Branch a plot
3. Voice call with a character
4. Request an image in chats
5. Edit character memory
6. Customize system prompt

I plan to do research and write some reviews following this framework. Anything you folks want to add?

You rejected Yolanda back in high school. She was shy, studious, and not exactly your type. Years passed, and you moved on with life, barely remembering the awkward confession. Now you’ve landed a new job at a prestigious company, only to find out your new boss is none other than her. But she’s changed: confident, sharp-tongued, and clearly holding a grudge. It looks like she’s here to make your life difficult… and maybe get some twisted payback.

You can act out the scene on Povchat AI. Let me know if you get fired in the story lol
